      For crawlers sloooooow means low end control...meaning when you are doing real technical lines you have smooth effortless response from your rig. So instead of having to whiskey throttle through obstacles it'll just creep along going places other rigs cant often or not as easily at least.

    • @DNA930
      @DNA930 Před 4 lety +3

      But you can't brag about stuff that doesn't come with the kit. You can put that ESC and motor on any kit and have it do the same thing.

    • @leereed219
      @leereed219 Před 4 lety +1

      @@DNA930 you're not factoring in the transmission and axle setup. Yes the motor and esc is a big part of it, but the build quality of everything else brings it together. Compare this to even the axial scx 3, and you'll see what I mean.

    • @nobodyspecial...4680
      @nobodyspecial...4680 Před 4 lety +2

      The smoothness of the transmission affects the amount of friction the motor and ESC need to overcome. Also the spur & pinion are sometimes not perfectly round. So if it’s super smooth and there’s little friction you can start off at a lower speed and there’s no jolting or wavering. That way you get the best performance from the motor and ESC. So yes the electronics are critical, but the gearing / driveshafts need to do their bit and not cause juddering / friction

    I love to build kits. I like to build kits by Tamiya. However most Tamiya look great but do not perform to the highest standard. I also built a Vanquish VS4-10pro. Really easy to build and is very high performance for rock crawling. If this Boom Racing kit builds like those kits that would be awesome. I do wish it had a different body. Great build! I was thinking of upgrading my bronco or blazer to metal chrome parts but I’m really happy with the base configuration. They have such nice branded hubcaps. I bought lights and a gps chip, but I didn’t know I’d need a different power supply and input unit, traxxas are really bad with showing what’s needed for upgrades. Does changing any parts really make that much difference? What upgrade would you recommend as most useful? Steering servo?
