I'm actually part of the singers in the show, but I also know the trumpet so they put me in the brass group, that's why I paused saying I play the trumpet in the first question, feeling like an impostor myself.
For the 2nd question about the keys, there are trumpets in keys other than the most common B flat, so I took a bit of time to think about my options, and eventually settling on the B flat
I also haven't played the trumpet for a long time, so when you see me play that scale, that's me playing the trumpet for the first time in probably 6 to 7 years!

Omg i thought i was tripping when i heard canto, because i could understand the first and last phrase but couldnt figure out the exact words for the second phrase. And thought it was another lanuage that sounded like canto
As a double bassist, almost no one plays a full size bass. A normal full size double bass as of today would be the 7/8 size because an old full size is simply just too big for the average human sized player. Sizes very from 1/16 to 1/8 1/4 3/8 1/2 5/8 (my personal favorite for solo rep) 3/4 (also standard) and 7/8. 3/4 and 7/8 are most common among professionals. 1/4 and 1/2 are common among students.

I am the fake double bassist😂 I literally knows nothing about the bass. A friend lent her bass to me and I can’t even let the bass lie on my body. Except clarinet, I also play the cello thats why my fingers are separated that far🤣 I thought I was going to fail this cheating but omg they believed😂😂😂

But there is not much standards within the sizes. You can have a small 7/8 or even 4/4 and have it comfortable, even if rare, but a big 3/4 might feel gigantic. All the fractions tell you is rough string length but that is a far smaller issue than body shape and size.
I was going to say this. I had a teacher who was 6 foot 3 and he still played a 3/4 sized bass.
My mum walked in and was like ‘are you watching those violin brothers again’ 💀

As a clarinet player (who is very near flutes in an orchestral setting) you can always tell who is not an actual flute player by the way they pretend to hold it. They put both hands on the same side of the metaphorical flute. We all know one hand goes on each side.
