Thanks for this. Recently got into cajon and loving it. Accidentally bought a 16" crash on eBay and am using it as a ride so it's good to know that somebody who knows what they are doing advocates this approach ! Gig in 2 weeks time so need to get practicing

I love my SABIAN 11" AAX X-Plosion Splash cymbal for my cajon hybrid set up. With hands or nylon rods/brushes, as the name states, it EXPLODES and is perfect for Cajon hybrid setups. Check it out!
