On a 2021 mustang GT if I go to an optima battery is there any kind of relearn. The owners manual says if he equipped with battery management system to let the car sleep for eight hours, but I can’t even find out if mine has it.

Hi Salty5Hoe. Unfortunately, I've never had an Optima Battery, I'm not aware of its nuances. That said, recently I've been using the VSTM memory saver. The device keeps power to the car while the battery is being replaced. It was less than $20 and kept all my settings. A few months ago, I uploaded a video of it to the channel. Hope this helps.

My battery looks smaller. It's not a 96R. Can you just swap it out, or is there some specific procedure you have to go through so as not to mess up the computers and countless sensors.? I heard or read somewhere that the car's electronics are accustomed to a certain amount of power from the battery and when you upgrade to a bigger battery, it throws everything off. If you can shed some light on this subject.

Hi Juan, a 96R battery was used for my 2015 Mustang. In my case, I didn't have any issues with the battery swap, even the radio presets were kept. For completeness, I have a base, non premium Mustang.

Easy quick video, so when I installed my new battery and started the car, when I was driving, the check engine light stayed on, my tire pressure sensors weren't showing me the psi of the wheels, and my power windows don't go up on they're own, did you have any of these problems???

That's odd, I haven't had any of those issues, on any of my cars after a battery replacement. I would confirm that both terminals are fastened properly.

Hey Reza, your car has a low state of charge. It's one of 2 things. Your batter is in need of replacement and will no longer hold a proper charge. Or it's been sitting too long and needs to be driven more. I'd start with driving it more frequently, and see if the message returns.
