I forgot how good Foster the People were. I recently started listening to all their songs after like 4 years and I've fallen back in love with their amazing yet underrated music. My favorites so far are style, imagination, and doing it for the money. This one is climbing up the ranks ngl
I adore and love that the supermodel album does not try to simply make you feel good for what you are. It tells you simply what you are, it shows a mirror to your face and tells you to look into it and see what you really are, and to forget about the delusions of what your ideals are or what you think you want. You are this person in time at this very moment and you fulfill a purpose that you in your human person has been set out to accomplish. You join along for the ride and watch, partake, but it isn’t pretty all the time, it isn’t all well and good, it’s coarse and unforgiving, fraught with deceit, evil, misperception; yet at the light at the end of that tunnel there is one truth and you must find it. Your self-actualization demands it of you. Your spirit demands it of you. You are demanding that this light come forth to you, and in that same breath you cast away what is wrong.
