Mr digweed started on a 410, like millions of others around the world, did him no harm, say no more.
One thing that you can expect from affordable guns made in Turkey is nice figured wood. I've seen amazing wood even in some ordinary Hatsan break barrel air rifles.
I think what Mr Thick is trying to explain, is that the gun should be in suitable proportion to the shooter. Much rubbish is regurgitated regarding .410's. I started with a SB folder at the age of 11 and became quite the killer of farm rats and rabbits. At ranges of up to 20 yards it did the job without hammering me. I learnt to handle a gun safely, stalk my quarry and shoot straight. It even earned me pocket money as a pest controller! If you expect the youngster to shoot clays with such a gun, you will discourage him. If you tell him to sit quietly on a wall and shoot the rat as it scurries across the yard, he will be a shooter for life.
I absolutely love my 410!
I like the 410
Squirrel's, quail,rabbits and doves
It's a good light small game gun
I just love 410. . Great priced to have a collection. Cheaper than air rifles..
Just bought one for my lad loves it
You’ve just sold it to me thanks,my 11 year old daughter really liked the look of this in the local shop so thanks again
I going to get yildiz but I got the boito
I bought this gun for my son’s first shotgun it’s great value good for the young shooter! Don’t expect top quality but for the money it’s spot on
Does a Yildiz shoot 3 inch shells?
I like shooting trap with a. 410 when I just wanna have fun. At my old club we would shoot trap from the skeet stations.
Your a good shot then lol
This a clon of the krico over-under shotgun!
We use the extra long ones because we think the short ones are chrap
a 410 is actually a professional gun,,,when you get bored with the large bores.
Essa Fabricante deveria por na sua linha de produção Espingardas em dois calibres sobreposto em 36/32 ou 36/28...
Shame they don't build a 28 gauge on that frame. Building the 28 on the 20 gauge frame is unappealing.
I just got the Legacy HP 410 and found that the opening lever does not go back to center stage when closed but otherwise works. Is this a common problem.
Una joya
i know that shotgun. i used it. it is perfeccccccccttttttt
How does everyone use it including me
I've read that although .410 has so little kick, is difficult for kids to learn on, as so few pellets. No room for error. Why else would they have sub-guage skeet?
Thinking of trying new 12 mini shell 1.75" by Aguila with my grandson.
You’re right that the smaller shot load in a .410 does make it harder to hit the target. Ideally they would learn with a 20 or 12 bore, but it’s important they have the size and strength to mount and swing the gun comfortably, and manage the recoil. We would always recommend a few starter lessons with a good instructor, who can advise on gun choice.
I shot an old .410 Ithaca single shot (at non-moving targets) for a year or so and loved it as a child. I still remember my first time shooting a 20 gauge - I shot it once and didn't pick it up again for another year or so. It was much louder and much more scary. Can't remember the age but I was pretty young.
A .410 is a great starter gun to shoot stationary milk jugs with. I'll give that same Ithaca .410 to my kids to shoot their first shots with. Once they get used to that, I'll give them a 20 gauge and some moving targets. If you already own a .410 I'd suggest letting them shoot a few shells through that first.
@@TSCTheshootingchannel out of interest....what cartridges were you using, as they sound really quiet 🤔
@@KateRobinson1961 from what I can see the cartridges look like eley 410. Fourlong 12.5gr
Even a fairly small 13 yr old can handle a single barrel 12g with light loads
Great little gun, ammunition is way too expensive!!!!!!!!
Sure is
Bobby Thompson Walmart has federal high brass 3” for around $10 for box of 25
Gary Teague yes but we are in the uk it’s a lot more
Nop its not, here in Lebanon, a Triple Charge 19gram cartridge box cost about $4
christophe c we in the uk tho
Why not a 28 bore? .410 has so little shot its quite different handling to most other guns
Good suggestion, though I started my sons with 20 ga. guns for which I handloaded shells with 3/4 oz of shot (28 ga. load). They are now adults and use the same guns. Nothing wrong with a 28 ga. I own them and use them, but the choices are limited and shells are expensive (unless you handload)
nice nice👍🍁🎩
I can't hit squat with 410 give me bigger say 10 gauge or 12 or 20 or 16 no problems 410 no way shells are too expensive too 💪🐺🐾
If you can hit with a larger bore then you can hit with a 410. I made the transition years ago with a little troubles. I w@s used to recoil which these have none. One must focus on the bird and continue the swing and the birds or targets will fall. The fun factor is high for me. The price of ammo and no longer having the space for reloading gear keeps me away lately, but I’m working on it.
My name is L A Moore I live n moss point,Ms.i have been looking for a yildiz side/side 410 28 inch barrel and a o/u 410 28 inch barrel, academy on the entire gulf coast does not have these guns where can I find these 2 yildiz guns?
Can anyone tell me does the Yildiz 410 take 3 inch shell, or 2 3/4 shells.
I can't find an answer to this. Any help from someone that owns one would be appreciated.
Yes
Didn't so video
How much do they go for?
Price ktni hy
Honestly, this is an "experts" gun. Design these to adult dimensions! Im 6'4" and shoot the 410 at the range and at game all the time.
Exactly, there seems to be a huge snobbish downlook on .410 shotguns, eventhough they are the Marksmans' shotgun.
At my local range members often give me funny looks and have a chuckle to themselves at me for bringing an old Webley Scott to shoot clays. The joke is, they don't laugh long when I'm downing crossers they can't hit. 👍
Are u gonna ceep opening and closing it
Does he go by Rick Thick?
Ты на охоту в " слюнявчике " ходишь?
Dear sir,
THINK about this weapon and a 45 caliber bullet..DO not consider it is ONLY for a child..
H
Return ours after two failed copies not unsuitable for our needs
Here's the expertise of the Turks on god
410 is a terrible gun to teach kids with because it's a lot harder to shoot well with there are fewer pellets and your range is very limited a child who goes out with a 410 shoots 200 rounds at clays and hits 15 will be discouraged and may just drop the sport if that same kid shoots as many shells with a decent 20 ga but hits 100 won't be any worse for wear and will be more tempted to come back
Yes it’s a valid point. A 410 is great for introducing a younger/smaller child to shooting, learning safe gun handling etc, but you’d need to match the targets to the capability of the gun, not expect them to shoot targets intended for 12 bore, or as you say it will be quite demoralising.
TSC - The Shooting Channel I think 28 gauge would be a great introductory gun les recoil than a 20 but a lot easier to use than a 410
sad... no proof marks!!!
Hi Nicholas, the gun has proof marks, do you mean you'd like us to have shown them in the video?
TSC Clay Shooting as far as i know Turkey has no proof house... can you sent a link so i can see the proof marks??? and oh... are those proof marks hammer pressed on the monoblock, or it is just paint??? i never saw a Turkish gun with proof marks unless some ones with painted proof marks!!! if there is a proof house now in Turkey that means a lot for the market from now on...
Hi Nicholas. You are right that there is no reciprocal arrangement on proof between Britain and Turkey. Therefore the importer puts the guns through one of the British proof houses before they are distributed to the gun trade. It's the same with other makes eg Browning and Miroku guns made in Japan. So the Yildiz has British proof marks stamped in the normal way into the barrels and action. You are welcome to visit Oxford Gun Co and see for yourself.
TSC Clay Shooting so they have press stamped proof marks as long as they are in U.K. market??? you mean that miroku and brownings from U.K. have proof marks as well??? i'd like to see that in a video (or a link)!!! why dont you make one... i will subscribe to see such video of yours because others just saying that TS870 that is written on the barrels IS the nitro proo mark!!! offcourse i laugh reading that, but if i see real proof marks (espesially from U.K.) i will believe that those re safe guns... untill then...
Hi Nicholas, yes many imported guns are proofed in the UK before being sold - it's illegal to sell a gun that isn't 'in proof'. The UK is a member of CIP, so we recognise other member countries' proof marks, but not those who aren't members. You can read more here www.gunproof.com/Proofing/proofing.html
It's an interesting subject - it would be a good one for a future video, thanks for the suggestion.
In America, kids start on a 12 gauge!
And they also shoot their classmates
Of course they do! In America you voted mr trump in
If you listen he says it is for younger kids where it is too much for them to handle a heavy 12bore. Personally I love 20 bores for game, but I was brought up on a single 410, it makes you learn to shoot more accurately and improves fieldcraft getting in closer. I might get another 410 just for around our small holding, for close up where these are much more sensible than a bigger bore. Strangely my grandfathers started on 303 enfields but those were different days. LOL.
Looks more like a woman’s gun than kids gun. 26” is way too long, stock looks too long as well. This might fit older kids but likely much too big for ages 7 to 12.
Junk gun!
Great gun! How many goddamn times are you going to open and close the fucking gun when your just talking????????
