If you use a file folder, it already has a fold and it's heavy enough to re-use indefinitely. Also, if you draw the front side, then trace it onto the other side, you can draw and cut the belt loop out of the back side without having to tape it on.

Is there a good way to remove pen ink from the face side of leather?

Not to my knowledge. If I needed to do it, I would put the same ink on a scrap piece and try to remove it with rubbing alcohol and a q-tip. But thats just my best guess.

Might try using an edgebeveled. If the ink is on the edge.

I only use pencil on the front of leather ink or paint marker on the back
