The hills of that area are very beautiful and make for some great camping. Are you close to the area that was flooded back in August last year? I watched some videos on the floods last night and it was bad. Great video, friend.

How did you end up getting the tent in the backpack btw I have a 4 person tent and it might be too big for my bag
It's a 2 person tent that I used and it took up a good chunk of the pack but still plenty of room for a ton of gear. Maybe look for some dimensions of your tent vs the bag to see if it'll fit. Hope this helps!
Have you ever had a tornado warning when you were out camping? What would you do in that situation??

What do think your Backpack weighs. Just curious I'am getting ready for a 100 mile hike on the Lone Star Hiking Trail.
Not entirely sure but it was way too heavy haha probably 50-60 pounds but wouldn't want to go 100 miles like that lol. I hope you have an awesome hike my friend! 👍

Also, I recently used your idea of backing a screw out of the tailgate to attach a strap for lowering the tailgate easy from inside the Softopper setup - I took a two week trip out west last month and used that little trick every morning!
