Brilliant. Thanks for sharing that Tony. I’ve got a lot of cork on a roll that I can glue together to make the short lengths I need to create the effect I want. Really appreciate you putting up the link. Thanks. Roy.
Cheer's Rob. i do apologize for the late reply. i always look for the cheap option if it can be done. boy this hobby is getting more expensive, buts its my only vice. don't drink don't smoke..cheer's buddy best wishes Tony
Great plan hope you saved the bits for piles of stone.... darkish blue and orange mixed before application over the yellow of choice should give a stoney grey
Thank you Thomas. i have kept all the loose bits for iron ore for my wagons. all i have to do is add a hint of brown once they are glue in....great tip on the colours....all the best Tony
Great idea I'm wish I had thought of that I had t ok build 6 foot of stone wall so all I did was use nails along the edge of the baseboards then built moulds and used plaster of Paris. When dry just used a drill bit to scribe in the stonework
Blimey Tony - what a fantastic idea you have come up with and as Lakeside is set somewhere in Yorkshire then I can see this being adopted in a few places. Thanks for the great tip buddy. ............Graham
That's an awesome effect.... and if people wanted, i guess they could cut it and use some of the crumbly bits to make a dilapidated wall end? and it could be inlaid into plaster to form a retaining wall for a dirt bank, the ideas are endless and I think that's an absolutely superb effect!
I'm sure if you ask at the counter for cork expansion strips for flooring they ll show you where it is..........................good luck............Tony
And a bargain at £4 Steve I think next time I will spray the yellow paint on and then use kitchen to lightly put the grey and other colours on................Tony
Cheer's Paul I bought one packet of the wicks cork about 2 years ago and I'm down to my last few lengths.it seems to last for ages...all the best Tony....
