A baby Robin fell into my yard 3 summers ago. His parents did not find him after dark. I checked all day long. He saw me so I spoke to him. He has come back, this is 3rd year now. Buzzes house, cheeps, then waits. I come out, find him and we 'talk'. God looks after the birds. Mr. Cheers is always fat and beautiful.
This is so sweet!
What a sweet and lovely story.❤
That is precious! Thank you for sharing! Cheers to you and Mr. Cheers!🎉
I love his name! What a sweet story!
Oh my friend! We have one bee box (5 layers of boxes sitting on each other) and last year my husband cultivated 120 lbs. of honey! Ask for help with this... you will LOVE the free honey as it tastes so good! We trade ours for eggs and beef with people who raise those animals. Have courage... it is not difficult once you learn how. Another thing... the bees are generally 'sweet' around those who care for them and will amaze you with their personalities... not even kidding you! Enjoy this new adventure. It is most satisfying when you reap the rewards. Your friend from Canada.
Awww thank you for sharing this with me! Yes, I am worried about the heavy frames, I lifted some in bee class, and they weight of one frame alone! X
It's amazing what you can get done in a short space of time. Don't worry about living up to expectations. Yes you go on telly talking about gardening but it's your relatability that people love. None of us are perfect, or have perfect gardens, life isn't an Instagram reel. Your garden looks great and I love seeing it. Its perfect 🌷
Thank you for the kind words! life certainly isn't an Instagram reel x
I get so excited when your garden starts blooming...🌷
I love the idea of the cardboard & wildflower seeds!
SPRING HAS SPRUNG 🩷
Every year your garden gets better.
Your so kind ❤️
Got me tea. Windows open & in my comfy track pants sitting and watching you in the garden. This is a beautiful..time. Thanku sweet Catherine. You do my heart good. Blessing be yours.
Awe glad you enjoyed it x ❤️
Hi Catherine this was so interesting about the hives can’t wait to watch your progress. My new nature thing this year is a bird box with a camera inside. It’s so addictive watching the house sparrows build a nest so Im hoping to see wee baby birds . But at the minute I have my hands full with my new pup and she finally has a name … Daisy . She’s a 4 mth old shih tzu and just a wee bundle fluff and so cute. Have a lovely Easter 🐣💖🙋🏻♀️ Patricia x.
I LOVE the sound of your bird box with camera!
The opening music, the tulips, the birds chirping, outdoor spring cleaning...all so lovely! It's difficult to get motivated to tidy up the garden in cold weather. Can't wait for warmer temperatures!
Aw thank you xxxx
Gardens are like children.👶🥀 They start out small but grow very quickly 🌷🌷🌷and have moments when they are messy but moments when they shine. 🌞They bring us frustation and joy. 💖In the end they bring more joy than pain and I couldn't imagine my life without mine🍃🌻🐞You have a lovely garden🍀🍃🍀🍃
I love watching your garden videos. Been watching since day one & each time it amazes me how much it’s changed & how far you’ve come 😊 it’s relaxing watching & seeing all the beautiful colours & cute little animals 🩷💜
That’s so kind ❤️ thank you 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
All those leaves that you find in your garden are tremendously advantageous to your composter. Please sweep them up and put them in there or grind them with your mower and place them on your beds. Wonderful food for your garden, and free too.
Yes, have you watched my Autumn videos, I collect them for leaf mould when they are lovely and wet and freshly fallen. Have you made leaf mould before?
I feel you on the wet Spring, it’s been bleak in Northamptonshire; cold, windy, wet and miserable.
I can’t wait for the sunshine days. You’ve made such good progress Spring cleaning the garden.
Your yard is always so pretty. It's a cool windy and wet day here in Oregon. Never dis on the rain because usually after June it's gone. I went out and picked rhubarb for Easter Sunday Dinner and I had blossoms on my Italian plum trees. So excited I have loads of berry bushes and a small orchard. I am only going to allow the trees to get no higher than 5 feet tall. Any way I see your kittens are out with you and that is fun also. Have a blessed Easter weekend Catherine.
Awe thanks for sharing! Love that you picked your own rhubarb ❤️
Love the garden videos! Those tulips are giving me life! Thank you!
It's amazing how clean & tidy you keep your home; inside and out! ❤
Thank you! 😊
I did my whole back garden with the no dig/cardboard method and it works wonderfully!! You'll love it!
That is so good to know that it worked for you ❤️
You are a busy bee yourself!.🐝🐝.. I love the idea of the no dig flower meadow.. looking forward to see how it grows..😊❤
Can’t wait to see it come together! 😍 thanks for stopping by xx
Hi Catherine 👋🏻 I’m Lia 👩🏻🦱 from Brisbane, Australia 🇦🇺 It’s Easter Long Weekend here and myself and my husband have had a weekend full of gardening jobs out in the beautiful weather we’re having in Autumn. 🍂 Since discovering your channel, I love to watch one of your episodes for inspiration and motivation before I head out to work in our gardens. We have fully landscaped front and back gardens comprising of ornamental and kitchen gardens. Like you, I’m also still learning and still consider myself an amateur when it comes to gardening. I started gardening just three years ago when we got our home professionally landscaped and learn something new every day I’m out in it. I also have a bird bath, bird house and insect house as well want to create our own little eco system. I love ok forward to watching many more of your old and new videos. Happy Easter! 🐰
My neighbors lined the areas of their front garden with cardboard in order to create new flower beds. It was fun to watch their ingenuity produce a new area to enjoy flowers.
Aw fab! Did it work out for them?
Yes, they added an English country garden theme, complete with stepping stones. Unfortunately, the new homeowners have not maintained it. But we have the memory of how it once looked.
We have a Ryobi lawnmower as well, but it’s the more powerful version. Our property is steeply sloped at the front and side and the mower handles it like a dream. It even has power assist that helps for the steepest inclines. Granted the mower itself is much heavier than our old corded version, but the battery lasts for the whole of the mowing which takes a couple of hours to do. We also use Ryobi power tools with the 18v battery, but knew we needed to use the beefier mower/battery for the garden. Now we just need to upgrade our Ryobi strimmer to a higher voltage version.
I'm getting the real life studio ghibli vibes watching this ☺️✨️🍃🌷
I watch this with 20 cm of snow falling on Montreal, Canada (April 4th). Makes me wanna cry.
I live on Vancouver Island in BC Canada, and spring on the West Coast has had a reluctant start. I planted some bulbs in my little greenhouse that I bought for a very reduced price. I wasn’t expecting much, but lo and behold, I’m getting lots of flowers I can bring in. Also, when all else is delayed, there’s rhubarb😊
The flowers are looking so pretty Catherine, I have seen the no dig beds before and they work well, and good luck with your beehive, bees are Mother Nature’s pollinators and so important to the ecosystem, tfs x Julie
You're one brave lady, takin up so many new projects and learning nw skills! Becoming a beekeeper, who would've thought! I'm sure you'll do great, because you re such a caring person.
OK Catherine I’m ready to come see you so that I can spend time in your beautiful garden. I see the flowers peeking up and it’s going to be gorgeous as always!
I'm with you. My husband bought and electric mower just for around the house. I was not expecting the noise plus the lack of power. It is almost like a weed eater with handles. With you on papers/trash flying into my yard. Tulips and all the flowers in your raised beds are really showing out. Just beautiful. Love the pretty Bee Box color. I'm looking forward to your new adventure. Wishing you and your family a Blessed and Happy Easter.
The sleepers looks great
You have the most beautiful flowers in your raised beds and you do such a beautiful job of explaining all that you do.
Your tulips look beautiful....gosh where do all the leaves come from ,it's a never ending task !😀🌷
Hello Catherine. Does anyone else think that the fabric used to cover the table could be a framed piece of art? I love the Autumnal colours on it. It then made me think we could frame ours to remind us all of our painted projects. The different colours bringing back happy memories! That thought made me very happy xx
Greta idea framing fabric ❤️❤️❤️
Your tulips are beautiful x
We love tulip season! 🩷
My dream is to have a backyard garden like yours. Mine is about the same size as yours and I didn’t think I got make it as beautiful as yours so thank you for sharing your journey. I want a greenhouse like yours but I can only dream about it right now but it does help me sleep at night dreaming about what my backyard will look like someday. Love watching everything you do ❤

Yur garden was a delight even before the tidying up. Such gorgeous flowers!.
Thank you for another great video! Even though the weather is still a bit dreary where I’m at, you are getting me inspired to get out and clean up the garden. ☔️🌷

Great garden video 💐👏👏❤️

The hive is so exciting! And love the bee facts lol. Can't wait to see your progress :)
Happy Easter Catherine 🐇 From Australia 😊
Your like a worker bee yourself always working and it shows in your home and garden they are really beautiful.
Great way to kick up the spring vibes....absolutely looking forward to when the wildflowers meadow starts blooming, and the bees start moving into the bee-hive... super excited🤗 Your tulips are looking beautiful 👍🌷
Your garden with the bulbs is beautiful. I love when you are out in the garden. The sleepers look great as a border.
We are having an early Spring, so bulbs and flowering shrubs going off. Of course it is a roller coaster of nice days and fridgid days, but nice to have some flowers for Easter.
We leave our evergreen wreaths and porch pots til March when things warm up, but this year when we were going to remove the wreaths, one had a mommy, a nest, and 5 little blue eggs...so it remains til they are finished!
The wildflowers are going to look beautiful ♥️ you've put alot of work into your garden, can't wait to see everything in the coming weeks 🥰💚🌱🌿🌳
Thank you 😁
I love watching your videos. Great source of inspiration 🪴 I’ve recently got my first garden of my own and a bit overwhelmed by the work that needs doing. It’s bramble city atm ! But watching your videos really helps me keep trying. Hopefully mine will be pretty one day 😊
Hello Catherine. Great video. I love the colour of the bee hives. Your tidy up has given me the push to start on my garden . My excuse is it being so wet everywhere ha ha.
Lovely video
Spotted the little Irish Robin 😊
Today is Easter Sunday that I'm watching this, so Happy Easter to you Catherine!
Your garden is looking beautiful!
I wouldn't want to be a queen bee either! 😅😅😅
the tulips blooming just lift my heart! Love these flowers. In the US, on the west side of the country, my daffodils and tulips are not quite ready to bloom yet, but they are within 2 weeks of doing so! Can't wait!
Queen of the sun film very interesting watch about bees.
A great video thank you Catherine. The first video I watched of yours, you had a lot of lawn in the back with a bar and I thought this looks good 😂
Great video, really looking forward to seeing how your no dig meadow goes. Would love a video on your must have garden tools 😊
We all have to start somewhere, right? My front yard is full of leaves from two towering oak trees that drop their leaves all winter. During the summer they provide WONDERFUL shade but they can feel like an annoyance. I too have lacked motivation as we have had three consecutive months of SO MUCH RAIN I feel any plants I have are struggling to survive. I feel waterlogged as well. So you aren’t alone. Yes, I love my RYOBI tools but you do need more than one battery. 😊
I love your garden, even when you say it's messy, to me it still looks good .
khu vườn cây và hoa rất đẹp 😊
As always lovely ❤
Thank you xxxx
Lucky you to have Spring arrive already. I am zone 2b/3 so still have lots of snow and cold, cold weather…BUT…I am living vicariously through your garden right now 🌷🪻.Always love your videos, keep ‘em coming! Greetings from Sk Canada 🇨🇦
Thanks for the inspo. Must get out into mine soon, but like where u live the rain is never far away here and the ground is still claggy.
Thank you that was wonderful 🌷 🐝 🌼 🌱 😻
I’m so glad you enjoyed it. 🥰
Happy spring! I know what you mean about being a little unmotivated. But as soon as it warms up a bit and I see the sun more, I'm better. I love that paint color. Mossy green is a favorite. You sound a little raspy. Hope you are feeling OK. The wind kicks up a lot of molds and mildews. Yup, I get the flying rubbish, too. Your garden is looking beautiful. Thanks for an awesome video.
Oh 5 Star Bee Hotel 🏨 thanks so much for sharing 😊
The bees better leave good reviews 😂
I put my compost bins (I now have 2 plus a keyhole raised bed that you put compost in) near the back door because of how much snow we get in the northeast USA. I'm very happy with it being easy to get to. I also got 2 rain barrels last year and I used them soooo much.
Wow your bulbs are just gorgeous. Here in Melbourne I've just ordered my spring bulbs but may have to order more to have the same effect.
As I live in an apartment now, sadly without a garden, I prefer your indoor episodes. I feel sad unable to garden now. But you do have such a lovely garden and Your joy makes me feel happy for you and I smile. ❤❤❤
Please don't feel sad that you cannot garden, would you like to? Your an do small herbs etc indoors and get the same pleasure x

We love a cleanup! Thanks for stopping by 🩷
I have a Sunjoe electric lawnmower. It handles my front yard pretty well and is fairly quiet. The battery life is fairly decent. I didn’t even think to look for one matching my drill, but that’s a great idea.
Hi Catherine! Your garden looks beautiful💐🌸🌹⚘🌷🥀
Thanks Karen! So happy spring is here! 😍
Happy Easter Catherine Xx 🐣🐰🐇
Happy Easter 🐰 thanks for stopping by! ❤️
The garden is looking great so many flowers and beautiful colours
I’ve done exactly the same with RYOBI haven’t bought the lawn mower I don’t have a lawn had it paved when I knew I couldn’t do it anymore because of mobility issues but I have been buying the tools more so when they’re on sale
The beehive is starting to take shape

Your garden is just gorgeous!! I can't wait till it warms up in MI USA!

I put cosmo seeds in milk jugs and did the winter sowing method and it worked really well for germination.
