I was thinking recently, why was Crowley so devastated when Aziraphale got discorporated? He knows how that works, probably had was discorporated once or twice also, and in they book I’m pretty sure they discorporated each other just to be annoying (it’s been a while since I’ve read it). Then I realized, he didn’t think it was normal earth fire. He thought it was hellfire. He thought the other angels got to his angel before he did, and *burned him.* He thought they killed him and let his bookshop burn alongside him. He thought Aziraphale got his death sentence before him. And he blamed himself NOT TO MENTION the last words he had said to Aziraphale were “and when I’m off in the stars, I won’t even think about you” bRUH
I agree with everything you said except one thing. What is up with this bizarre urban myth that in the book Crowley and Aziraphale ever discorporated one another? This literally never happened, but I've seen a number of fans collectively claim it did. It's super weird. This is some Mandela effect on steroids.
I love the song selection, like damn way to touch that Biblical undertone in the show of the two sides warring and the actual stakes between them and humans being caught on the middle. This gives me chills.
I love this edit. It shows so much about how heaven and hell aren't good and evil respectively, they are just for and against the plan of God and nobody but these two ever dared to wonder if that plan is something to thwart or follow. (Also this has one of my fav moments where Pepper stands up to possessed Adam and says "You're not our friend." Not "You're not our friend anymore" as kids sometimes do but she spots that this isn't Adam, at least not the Adam they befriended and that's what brings him back to his senses.)
I LOVE THIS! I think I've watched it about 20 times now and just leave it playing in the background when I'm doing other things. Really shows that just like humans there are good and bad angels and demons. I really think Crowley is FAR closer to being an angel than a demon. Gabriel and Beez seems to be clueless to their underlings doing nasty things on their own, typical out of touch bosses. Aziraphale and Crowley being so close to humanity are the only ones who see how stupid this whole thing is and need to stop it. Love the song too! Great job!
Such a wonderful video! The song is amazing, it fits the drker undertone of the story so well. I loved how you played with parallels, using mirroring scenes and mirroring quotes.
Amazing edit. I love Good Omens. I liked it the first time I saw it, but I've seen it three times (twice more) since and my enjoyment just increased with each rewatch.
Third time watching this in a few hours, this genuinely is amazing, the editing is perfect, the song choice is really good, it managed to hype me up enough to want to rewatch the entire show ahah, thank you for this gem :')
@@_Spy_ The GO fandom has a ton of good stuff. The slow burn is strong in this one, the original had 6000 years of slow burn and the Fanfctions are even. slower. end. me. Welcome to the fandom though!

@@lovetolovefairytales yes, I didn't recall that either from the book.
Later on, Aziraphale possesses a woman and Crowley tells him he has a lovely dress.
Aweee Crowleyyy! Babey’s heart broke an I just feel so bad for not realising why until now. Thank you and also frick you u made me cry 😭

[crowley voice] ur so clever!!! how can someone so clever be so good at editing too!!
The best “trailer” for these tv-series I should admit!! So deep and breathtaking!
So I watched the video and thought “this is a damn good trailer” just to find same thoughts written by me 3 years ago in the comment section 😂
wow this is topnotch editing right here, you perfectly captured the themes of the story, the parallels, the mood. gorgeous job
Thank you so much!
What amazing attention to detail. Everything relating in perfect 'celestial harmony'. Amazing job

I’m glad you enjoy the video! :)
This video never gets old. I've lost count of how many times I've watched it by now. 🙂
I like how this shows some other sides of the show that aren't displayed in most amvs

I never realized that good omens was this sad -very good edit I love it so much
This is one of my favourite Good Omens videos out there, the editing, especially at the start is amazing!
Thank you! :)
I love this song and Michael Sheen + David Tennant.
This is really good. I'm not sure what to say other than that...I felt many emotions watching this that I wasn't expecting to feel. Props to you pal!

Such a nice choice of song and your editing goes perfectly with it!
All he did was ask questions.
I love how your video uses images from S1 of all the characters, not just Crowley & Aziraphale, much as I love them.
I wasn't ready for this... but srsly i love it.
I love this so much. The song and the scenes, the dialogue.. Great work!
I swear my soul left my body, this is amazing!!
One of the better ones I've seen. Well done!
i love this song and i love this video
bloody brilliant!
This is so beautiful
UNDERRATED
I love it.
very beautiful video, very beautiful song
perfect
Lovely!
This is incredible
I finished the series yesterday and I have to say one thing: PLEASE GIVE US SEASON 2!!!
Since Terry Pratchett died there likely won't be a second book or season of the series for Good Omens.
@@SinWeissfell I know but I hope for a miracle...I really liked the series.
@@_Spy_ They do deserve the soft epilogue they got. I'd hate to ruin it for them.
For everything else there is always fanfiction
