- After the massive success of the Pleasuredrome in Farnworth, UK, 1991-92, the event moved to the 4000+ capacity venue in Trafford Park, Manchester known as Bowlers Exhibition Center.
The success seen at the Pleasuredrome was replicated at Bowlers with 4000+ people packing the massive warehouse style venue every Saturday night. Resident DJ's DJ Welly and Kenny Grogan plus special guests took the night to unparalleled levels, and once again, caught the attention of Granada TV and the cringe worthy show 'The Hitman and Her' came to film the madness.

Sometimes I miss that place, that era, and those people so badly I cry. Can honestly say, if god asked me what my choice of paradise would be, reliving those Saturday nights at bowlers for ever would be it. Since then I've had the great fortune of raising five kids and having some great times and I'm grateful, but nothing has compared to that time for making me feel I belonged.

One of the few places i really wished I'd made it to, can still remember being blown away watching it on telly
This was recorded before I started going in 1993. Used to travel from Bradford every week for the greatest nights. Used to face the stage stood on the railings of a platform. Such good nights. Used to love it at the end when all the lights came on. Always ended on a massive tune!
i was on hitman and her when life was at the drome in Farnworth. And visited Bowler many many times after. Good Job Welly and mas respect for the gig for STU.

Love bowlers my favourite venue...
I remember going to Bowlers once. Got stopped by cops for speeding on way back. Four of us taken back to station. Car was given a half ass search in the bright garage whilst we were patted down alongside it. Unbelievably, we were left to go on out merry way.
Dodgems, Bouncy Castle, Bar Fly and a Human Gyroscope Ride. Yes it was a fantastic night.
Could drop any of these choons now an they still smash fuck out the dance floor in 2022... Now that's gold

Been born late 80s I enviously missed the rave scene . Early to mid 90s before rave ended and sub genres took over...hearing set you free on dub plate must have been mental

I really enjoyed this one, thanks for uploading it! Gotta say though, Michala and Pete should of passed the torch on at the beginning of the 90s. As much as I love them both, they visibly didn't get it beyond '89-ish.
Also my mum was on Hitman n her at Collosium , Halifax.... Commercial chart shite... She worked on bar n was on TV Dancing on bar in her 80s cocktail dress barmaid uniform lol
