      How is the build? Any issues with the frameless doors? And how is the comfort for long drives?

      @@elyesbenslimane7693 Great comfort, awesome for long drives. I have driven between SF and Portland like 8 times now and no issues so far. I think the inside is def a little smaller than A4, even tho 3 can sit in the back, its feels like it's only for 2 people. Great leg room, but not too much head room. If you're under 6'2" it should be fine in the back. Great reliability as well, no issues. Only had to do oil changes. There was a "recall" but it was basically one screw not tightening properly...took it to the dealership and they fixed it in 10 mins. I got the black optics pkg, so it came with sport suspension. This is fantastic for turning, no body roll. However it makes the ride a bit stiff. Personally for me it's ok, but if you're having bad roads around where you live, I wouldn't recommend the sport suspension. It very stylish in person, I have had several ppl ask me about it and compliment the car. Overall an awesome car if its just 1 or 2 ppl for regular use, if you're gonna have passengers in the backseat frequently I would prob get the A4. No issues with frameless doors or the sunroof, no leaks. Everything is working without any flaws and like Day 1. I use Apple carplay and it connects pretty fast every time I enter the car. Wish it had remote start stop tho.

      @@obZen07 thanks for the reply. Sounds like you're enjoying the car. I'm waiting for the next generation to buy, and because the A4 will only be electric I am looking at the A5. I'm about 6'2 (coincidentally) but I'll mostly driving so back seat should be okay for kids. And yes, roads up here can be a pain so probably not going for a sport suspension. I might test drive the current model and see how it is and go from there...

      The 2.0T can accelerate to 60 in 5 secs per Car & Driver which is plenty fast with excellent MPG. But if that's not fast enough for you, you can opt of the S5 that makes 349 HP or the RS5 with 444 HP.

    • @janus3555
      @janus3555 Před 3 dny

      2025 exterior redesign is horrible. Loses most of the sharp design and unfortunately looks like a Ford sedan from 10 years ago.
      Interior is both nicer and worse. It has a better infotainment but the screen is now a curved screen that bends from the dashboard out to the middle area. And worse, that curved screen also looks like it was dropped down and wedged in as it sticks out. The materials are also oddly cheaper looking. Not sure why they went that way, but it's a let down.
      Terrible redesign imo.

    Engineering background here the reason why the Lexus ES 350 luxury is going to be my next car is because you can put 87 gas I was looking at the other German rivals in the problem with: Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Porsche or the American luxury cars like a Cadillac or a Lincoln is you need to put high octane 91 gas. The ES3590 won’t be mistaken for a Porsche, even if you get the F sport but at least you get 22-32- 27 combined on 87 gas.
    But I narrowed it down to this and the Audi S6

    • @thebig12conference73
      @thebig12conference73 Před 4 měsíci +1

      japanwatchconnection Well, now that I live in Las Vegas, it is not as bad as California. Regular gas is about 4.00-450 and 91 gas is usually 80 cents more. Let’s do the math on a typical 15 gallon tank. That is .080 x 15 that comes to 12. So you are paying only $12 more but you are right the performance is great. The S6 and Es 350 F sport will come to about the same price anyways. Might as well get the Audi. You are not getting killed at the pump 16-26 mph 23 combined vs what 22-32 28 mpg combined so you are surrendering 5 miles per gallon x 15 only about an extra 45 miles but the performance, you are getting about 450 Ho bs 309. I jwould rather pay a couple of thousand more an F sport performance and handling is 49,000 about used. Heck I can get a 2021 Audi S6 with only 25,000 miles for $$52,000. For $3000 you are getting so much more you are getting a super car. Of course you can always get an RS8 but you ar expending stupid money probably $150,000 new

    • @thebig12conference73
      @thebig12conference73 Před 4 měsíci

      japanwatchconnection I did a little bit of research on this actually the price for escort is 45,000 which is the same as the middle of the road luxury the base is 39000. The f sport performance and handling is 49000. I think the premium luxury is 52000. If you don’t need F sport; which you don’t, not for an ES, the. I say go with the luxury for 45000 and call it a day! You get plenty of luxury in the luxury model
      I have driven the F sport performance and handling top-of-the-line model and I have driven the luxury. Given the the choice;‘I would take the non D sport luxury. It’s a feeling luxurious Camry why would you want F sport on a Camry?
      Besides if that’s what your goal is then don’t get an F sport get an Audi S6 , Maserati, or a BMW M5
      This is not designed for sports performance and I’ve driven the sports performance model it makes it feel a little bit sportier and you get 18 “ wheels, big whoop, not worth 45.000-49.000 base is also a good option at 39000 but I would might as well just save up a little more $pay $6000 and get the luxury Lexus experience.
      I’m German in Italian myself but I’ll be honest if you want sports performance then you go with German or Italian . If you want reliability economical , then Lexus is your best friend! Plus you get about 300 Hp I think 309 and a standard; time tested V6, on the Es 350 so it’s not like it goes 0.60 in 1 minute because you are driving a Flintstomes car. It goes 0-60 in 6.1 seconds so it’s not slow. Unless you’re driving for pink slips on Sunset strip I don’t feel the need to go 0 to 60 and under five seconds and I’m looking for fuel economy, 87 gas and reliability. If you take care of your Lexus , your Lexus can take care of you for 250,000 miles no problem.
      The other factor is I just got a job and I got to drive to Henderson from Las Vegas which is about 30 miles each way so 60 miles round-trip five days a week . That comes to 300 miles a week or 15,000 miles a year so the difference between 87 and good fuel economy 26 combined is better for me than driving a super ver like an AudiS6 that gets you an impressive 450 go but it is also 91 and 22 mpg combined. I’ll keep the Lexus, they can have the Audi.

    Recently bought an A5 Sport back 45 prem plus 2023 CPO. Overall, with the CPO pricing it's good value.
    Pros: front seats are great, very comfortable and supportive. Performance is decent but not thrilling. I really like the physical buttons over some of the current trends. The hatch practicality is wonderful and comparable to small SUV without the gas mileage hit.
    Cons: at 6' tall, I would not like to sit behind me for more than 20 minutes. The legroom is adequate but ingress / egress is tight. Headroom not so great. Side glass and rear slope is a little claustrophobic.
    Front seat storage is below average. Forget bringing your Yeti mug as you will bang against the HVAC controls. You can improvise with your own accessories but even a GTI feels roomier with respect to front area storage.
    The styling is great but all the sloped glass along with the dark leather makes the car hot AF and there is a noticeable hit to mpg with the HVAC working hard.
    Overall it's nice, but there are tradeoffs.
