Quick question. Im having the issue with gasket gap between 2 refrigerator doors which causes condensation to appears, but it looks fine, like there's no gap between the doors when closed.
Can this method be used in that situation?
Yes this method should help.
Inside the seal is a magnet strip - this is what keeps the door sealed (its not suction) so when you warm up the seal, it lets the magnet inside pull across and seal better, then you wait for the seal to cool down to stay in new shape. You could also try vaseline around the seal as well for an extra layer of protection.
is the problem continues, send me a message and i will dig into a deeper dive.
How long it's stay properly?
Is this permanently or temporary
This is permanent fix. There are other ways to fix this issue as well. Such as putting something underneath the seal to lift it up in that area.
Can I use silicone Kwik seal for the around the door 🚪?
Don't forget to lightly vaseline.the seal when done.the Vaseline helps maintain the pliability of the rubber.
Great Tip!
Hello, cam I ask how would you apply that Vaseline? Like directly on the exterior of the rubber?
Will this work on a freezer door that’s turned on? Do I have to defrost everything 😭
It depends, Do you have Chest Freezer or Upright freezer?
@@FridgeSeal we have an upright freezer. Big one.
Yes this should work, no need to turn freezer off. It would be best to remove the ice if its in the way, using paint scrapper or melting with a hair dryer but melting can take a while.@@PatriciaHadley-ip8mb
if you have any issues let me know.
Just wanted to update that this advice worked really well!!! From winter wonderland inside to no frost. We do have some ice still so we will try it again with some wedges, but gosh, you saved us over $300!!!! Thank u
Omg thank you for the Question and the Answer!!
I just noticed my freezer door (double door fridge/freezer) had cold air coming out from the top section so I’ll try this in the upper seal areas. Praying I do it right!! Thanks again for the free and quick fix!!
Is it okay if the new gasket doesn't close properly? i mean does it take 1-2 days to fit in?
it can take 1-2 days to settle in but it shoud stil close proplery. Try using a hair dryer to mould into shape.
Best advice is to add 50ml of sulphuric acid to the compressor before regassing to reduce corrosion

I couldn't have said it better myself.
That's a heat gun I have one
Ok now I’m confused - do we use a heat gun or blow dryer ok??
@@ladyleaner200 A hairdryer works just fine.
he addressed in the video he's using a heat gun but recommended a hair dryer
@@dalizombee6955he said either.
Tried it with a hair dryer sat for 30 minutes nothing didn't move ugh
try heating the inside/underneath the seal if possible then close the door and heat the outside. make sure its on the hottest setting, use your fingers to pull the seal out as well. hope this helps
