I've only been to Texas once on my way to Los Angeles via American Airlines, but always wanted to go back - after Covid, of course. We southerners (NC) love our manners and most people seemed to think there's something wrong with us - it's part of our DNA. Hurry back to TX and I know the welcome wagon will be waiting for ya! P.S. It was 81 here today.
Wow, 81° sounds reaaal nice right about now haha. We truly do hope to get back as soon as possible! We miss the people and weather 💛
I just got back from a vacation in Houston 2 days ago and it was amazing. Me and my fiancé are moving out there next year!

I have an older uncle that years ago moved to Minnesota from Florida and fell in love with Minnesota. A few years ago he ended up having to move back to FL because of health reasons. He wanted to move back to MN so badly and missed MN so much. He had me thinking about maybe moving to MN, lol! He did live in Houston or Dallas TX, California, and Oklahoma for a few years and liked these states okay, but MN was his favorite.
That's interesting! We'd love to know why. You definitely have to be a certain type of person to wanna live in MN 😂 we moved to Texas cause we were sick of the long winters, but some people do prefer the cold over the heat!

Side note, the Chick-Fil-A Here in Burnsville is fresh whenever I've gone there.
Did you notice how the Cane's Sauce is different in each state?
We only get ranch & buffalo sauce so we never noticed that lol. What city will you be moving to?
@@destinyandmitch I fell in Love with San Antonio but I'm giving myself a 30-40 mile radius of San Antonio. I don't want to limit myself and downtown is never an option.
Louisiana has a spicy Cane's Sauce and Texas has a tangy flavor.
While Zaxby's chicken in Kentucky tastes like Cane's.
I recently discovered your channel! I'm from Minnesota, currently live in MN. I want to move to Texas, been thinking about it for the last couple of years. I love that you guys are talking about this. Keep it up, I love your content!
Being from Texas, it took some time to get use to people not looking you in the eye, opening doors and the hospitality. Our friends here use to say that we scared them because of our being courteous, friendly and out going all at the same time. Good luck with winter up there. Hope all goes well to get you Texas transplants, back to your home in Texas.

It appears you have not experienced life away from the rat race of the city. I am born and raised south Dallas girl(Oak Cliff) I left the city when I left for college and so glad to be away from CITY STUFF. Married a Sweetwater boy and now live in East Texas out in the boonies. (No Chic Filet in our town😉) When you are back in Texas, we would love to have you come see life in the country. We are laid back, raise cattle as our retirement hobby, and just enjoy the slow life. If you want to experience it, our door is always open to friends.
I'm moving to Dallas in June. I'm so nervous and excited. I hope making friends is easier than Seattle
You should try going to the the Woodlands in outskirts of Houston; sooo beautiful & so much to do

The trick is making sure u consume alot of water trust me it help from feeling hot and dizzy
Did y’all meet a lot of friends in Texas? I find it harder too, but maybe I’m not looking at the right places. Lol granted people are super friendly- it’s just hard to meet friends as an adult. You have to visit Corpus Christi! I

I (Destiny) met new ppl at work and was also in a Bible study group but then Covid hit, so after that we didn't socialize with anyone unfortunately lol. We only had my family to hang out with sometimes. People are super friendly down there, so I would suggest joining community groups or reaching out to people on social media that live in your area. A lot of people from Dallas especially are transplants so everyone is looking for friends!

I was born in Dallas almost 50 years ago and I HATE the heat. It's no accident that heat and hate have the same letters lol. I actually want to live in a colder climate. Minnesota might be too cold, but I want to live somewhere other than Hades. I love it here right now though, the Fall, but EFF the summer lol.

Don’t miss Houston it’s much more diverse than any other town and city in Texas. Food is amazing here and we have tons of spots to sit out and have a drink all season. I think people that say it’s crowded are possibly speaking of one part of Houston. We’re pretty spread out.

Awww....I miss Texas too-I'm a native and moved to Colorado three years ago. I agree with all your points except Whataburger-it's the greatest LOL. I did go to Minnesota a few years ago for vacation; a friend had a family lakehouse outside of St. Cloud-I thought it was nice; the people we came across were that "Minnesota Nice" I guess, but definitely nothing compared to Texas nice.
We have family in St. Cloud!! We love it up there - the people can be very nice but Texans are just on another level.
@@destinyandmitch we went to a music festival called Buzzstock, which was being held right down the road from the lake house. Met lots of locals and felt we got an authentic small town Minnesota experience haha. We all were poking fun at each other's accents
Haha we love to drive around looking at the homes in Southlake! If you come back gotta take a drive around N fort worth area (southlake)
I am from Dallas. I like Houston. Favorite is San Antonio.

Hey guys! Too bad you're not going to be here for Christmas because you would love going to look at the houses decorated for Christmas. It is serious!🤣. Chik fil A is always hot here with great customer service. The drivers are crazy🤪... it is annoying. I noticed you both like to travel or see new things. When you come back, visit the Reunion Tower (Dallas) and the Water Gardens (Ft.Worth).
We lived there during Christmas last year & drove around almost every night to look at the houses. It was so fun!! We've also visited both of those places and they're pretty awesome 🙂
Texas does not play about their Chick Fil A! They got that ish organized down to a SCIENCE so you don’t wait for fresh food AND they have their own delivery service 🙌🏼

that is true about most locations there a Chick Fil A close to me and it's okay it's not the best but the better locations are further away from me.
You think Dallas people,Corpus Christi got them beat. Everyone is really friendly.

Covid brought up a lot of uncertainty, like losing my job. We also made an entire video explaining why!
Have a wonderful and blessed day!! We need to trust Jesus as Lord and Savior, he is the only way to Heaven. Two choices Heaven or hell, no in between, nobody will pray our way into heaven, after we die. The Precious Lord and Savior gave us the only way to heaven. We are in the last days he will be taking his own home very soon. We also need to wake up to the truth of all the wickedness going on. One huge reason we know this, is he gives us warnings in his word.

We probably won't come back again until we move, but we'll see :)
We are Asians, do you think they are welcoming to Asians? Also Tornados, Snakes, Big bugs and hot weather, we are scared of, what how are all those things factor into living in Texas realistically?
Texans are welcoming of everyone, it is very diverse and there's something for everyone! I (Destiny) was scared of all those things, too. But honestly, I hardly ever thought about any of these things unless I was outside in wooded areas or there was a strong storm. We loved the Texas summers and learned to deal with the heat, so personally, it doesn't bother us :)
