@@BigALBoomer il out run any man with a knife. Nothing to prove and 3 kids to raise.
for sure, as long as you can
Intelligent people know that no one wins a fight. One person goes to the hospital and the other to jail
Might need to run a little farther than that if life or death
As a former wrestler of 8 years I agree with this. One overlooked advantage of wrestling however is not taking people down, but not easily being taken down. A good wrestler is hard to takedown so we can fight until there's an opportunity for escspe. So a decent wrestler with basic punch knowledge has a good chance.
I absolutely agree with you with this one bro 💯
100% I COMPLETELY agree with you. I believe Bruce Lee himself said this is best fighting style. Or at least someone with this fighting ability is the most dangerous. But I think a lot of professional fighters in UFC would agree with maybe BJJ in it aswell
So Judo X Muay Thai
@@Izr6ael_there’s always that one judo guy who thinks he has any chance taking down a high level wrestler. Jon jones, DC, Henry cejudo, Kamaru Usman. All those guys are LAUGHING at the guy who mentions judo
@@RJ-gk4rt Wellll that eliminates THAT!!! Thank you for the Intel brother!!! 👊🏽🙏🏽💪🏽‼️
"Run away"
That isn't always an option.
Fr, you can only run so far.
Even if it is an option sometimes it's the wrong option. What if the person trying to hurt you is faster or has more endurance. Then you are for sure dead.
It's often the worst option. Turning your back on a faster attacker who can tackle you to the ground is very dangerous.
Thank you bro I see so many comments of just walk away lmao. I’m a boxer just started bjj and I use to be that guy that says avoid street fights. And I still am but my mind changed December last year I went to the bar with my friends to enjoy drinks my friend offered me a shot I didn’t want it so offered some guy next to me if he wanted it his drunk A*s thought I said some else he became aggressive I tried to de escalate the situation but he was being aggressive and he started following me to my group and throwing his hands up so we went out side and my boxing did me works. But I realized I need ground game I’m on my second week of Bjj and to y’all who gonna say yea right this didn’t happen i don’t really care to prove yall anything. But just saying guys running away isn’t always the option learn how to defend yourself the right way.
Fr. I ain't running if I'm with my gf
Learn Sanda👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼
In my opinion, don’t limit yourself to just one style. Adaptability is a very powerful ally, especially if your opponent is not your average person and has experience fighting or is trained in a style as well. Don’t just learn a striking style, learn some grappling and submission techniques as well. Being able to pull something out of thin air for every situation is very useful.
All that is all in mma
Time is the main problem here though. Your average person will do well to consistently make 2 sessions a week. 3-4 a week would probably be just about doable for most people if they really love it. Although the one positive to this is that you have your whole life to learn this. Maybe start young with the standup grappling so judo or wrestling with a bit of bjj. Then as you get older ditch the wrestling or judo for some boxing or Muay Thai.
Exactly I personally recommend jiu jitsu, kickboxing, and wrestling so you are prepared to fight standing or on the ground but really as long as you cover standing and ground you’re prepared.
"Intensity defeats extensity every time."
Boxing is good but hard when you want to get to the next level and grow.
Muay Thai and mma
If you can’t grapple you can’t fight.
Wushu Sanda 🥊
Judo, Okinawan Karate, Sambo, MMA, Boxing
I boxed as an amatuer for years, boxing just like all mentioned in the video is a sport, on the street there are no rules, no bell and no referee, sport although helping build fitness and discipline aswell as teaching essential skills will not help you in any way shape or form if your surrounded for example by multiple people with weapons, from my experience traditional martial arts is best suited for self defense in such a situation, that being said running is always the best option (live to fight another day)
Judo and combat sambo also really good to know if you do grappling I recommend doing atlest a little bit of strikeing
i carry a dull butter knife. You'd be surprised how aggresive people start thinking when you pull out a dull butter knife.
Has worked three times for me already.
I live in skid row and people will try to rob you and they have real knifes.
Rip in advance bro
Stop doing that bro. Someone could shoot you dead or pull out a real blade
@@josuerodriguez12b ok soo. I dont walk around pulling it out on random people. I've only pulled it out on people who pull something out on me. LOL.
But I understand.
If someone pulls a weapon on me, it's better to pray or spend five minutes calling the cops, telling them my name, my age, my ethnicity, where I'm located, what the other person looks like, what they are carrying, if they are being aggresive, and then hold tight while they radio an officer who isnt busy and is in the area.
I've only had to pull it out three times, once when some honduran pulled a snub nose on me and twice when black guys pulled out a karambit on me.
And out of those three times I only had to stab one guy in between his clavical and shoulder.
@@darkartsgaming1664 idk what kind of life you’re living bro but don’t do that anymore. Get away from those areas man.
@@josuerodriguez12b I appreciate it man, but I cant afford a good neighborhood. Have some things keeping me from working good paying jobs, but I only go out when I absolutely have to and I'm studying computer cding (C++) and graphic design so that I can create and sell digigtal goods.
But, you do what you can with what you have and down here the cops wait for the issue to be over then they come and take reports.
TRUTH
Thank you
Here’s mine. Muay Thai, jiu jit su, wrestling, mma and boxing
According to me you should start with very easy martial arts like Taekwondo and then move to tough one
Wing chun stand up, bjj ground. First rule is cardio, can't fight if you outrun them
50m sprinting, 100m sprinting and 200m sprinting are my top 3 favorite
Judo is great because it is the master of the clinch and has a focus on staying stood up or at least on top, while hitting your opponent with the planet.
couldnt say better..even if clinch is also very important in muay thai
boxing + judo is good
For one on one that's maybe fine but the topic is about multiple persons who you are confronted with...
So how does that put judo in the realities of this topic???
The "Elemental Fist" is more effective for any in-depth combat situation of where there is more than three or more as the opposition...So I don't know where any kind of grappling fighting systems can be effective in combat where you have Multiple persons ATTACKING...
My best student took on in the realities of a real fight more than 9 individuals and I just watched him opperating with perfection...
So if you are not experienced in the realities of Combat, then I would suggest you start to be involved in the realities of fighting system that works against oppositions in the gym before you go out thinking what you have learned is going to be effective in combat where you have multiple persons ATTACKING...
@@orlandogivens4779 unless you can preemptively knock several people out then it only takes one to want to clinch for the clinch to happen.
I like boxing mixed with judo i think that be more than enough to be honest
Grappling is not always on the ground. And boxing is a martial art.
My combo is kung fu boxing judo and muay thai
kali
sambo
judo
and krav maga
Boxing and running before anything else.
JUDO x Boxing/Kick Boxing ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Chinese Kara Ho Kempo - Professor Chow's system. You're welcome. 🙏😂
My favorite martial arts for self-defense is krav maga and judo and kenpo karate.
I learn shoot no jutsu 😂
MMA isn't a martial art, it's multiple, but it is very effective
Sanda is also good.
I've been saying this exact list for years brother. We are in total agreement.
Boxing, Muay Thai, Sambo. Khabib was so dominant because of his wrestling/ sambo.
JUDO, .BOXING AND A 9MILLI ASK JOHN WICK
What you said comes under combat sports
I do Karate and I think karate is also hepful becoas you lern how to protect yourself
The Armchair Violence guy has entered the chat.
lethwei🔥
Boxing and wrestling for me.
Just because that was what clubs I had access to
Muay Thai
The problem is that if you wanna learn boxing only then you need to habe fought before in the ring as a boxer, because if you only train it 2-3 sessions with sparring then you are MABEY never really ready to actual fight and the same goes for kickboxing and (muay thai mabey) but for wrestling you could actually never have competed before but still pull out a move to dumb your opponent out and run away
Girl or small guy for someone that’s not a good athlete’s can change quickly
I think the advantage of BJJ is that fights frequently do end up on the ground, especially when you’re dealing with untrained people. Knowing what to do once you’re there is extremely useful. BJJ should be a tool in your toolbox but not your entire kit.
Aikido
Bar Fight?!
JKD!
I think the most important thing is to be familiar with combat. I think anyone who has wrestled, boxed, done a martial art, mma, or any of the disciplines mentioned knows the feeling of getting hit, getting grabbed, getting slammed, getting kicked---(I know these things happen to varying degrees in the various disciplines) are going to do better than someone who has not done any type of combat.
Dutch Muay Thai😊
Run
I think Judo is great too
Here in England its always cold so we all have coats on
If youre good at that with some basic stand up skills then you should be good
Facts
I learned Tae Kwon Do when I was younger. For anyone who doesn't know, it's a Korean Martial Art that focuses on self defense. I ended up getting my black belt before stopping. It's really helpful, as it focuses on blocking, dodging, and falling safely with a quick recovery if you were to get knocked to the floor. Additionally the different blocks are commonly positioned such that you can follow up with a swift punch or kick.
Taekwondo definitely gives an edge if one gets into Muay Thai or kickboxing
Agreed.
I could very well be biased as I stated with kickboxing and now still train muay thai.
However, they've served me well in real world scenarios.
100%. I started with kickboxing as well, but ended up loving Muay Thai. Training both now.
The asian arts Work best for me . Its basically umbrella fighting and arnis but using anything you can use and it comes naturally.
boxing and wrestling
MMA is best because it covers everything
Striking, grappling, groundwork etc
Boxing or muy Thai, and wrestling Combo. Striking for stand up. Wrestling so you can defend against people trying to take you down, and or learn how to scramble and get up if someone tries to take you down. If worse comes to worse you can use wrestling aswell to throw people , and control them on the ground and use ground and pound .
Muay Thai and either jiu jitsu or wrestling. People argue that “oh you shouldn’t bring a fight to the ground,” and yes that’s true but most people will try to tackle your wrestle you anyways and if you don’t have any type of take down defense or ground game, it won’t matter how good your striking is, any wrestler or judo practitioner can slam you on your head and you’re done. So for striking muay thai, elbows knees and kicks are lethal, and you must know some type of grappling or wrestling or else you won’t be a well rounded.
Boxing mixed with wrestling are my favorites. If it's a one on one I'm going with mma wrestling. If there are multiple attackers I'm going with boxing with maybe a front kick sprinkled in.
%100 agree. Only complaint is wrestling doesn’t really teach submissions but ground and pound is way more safe😂 much harder to get stabbed in full mount
@@noland5345not when you’re on the ground?! So much shit can happen when you’re rolling on the ground especially if bruh bite your ear off..I bet u don’t wanna wrestle him after that
@@Figgs101True but shit happens much faster while standing because people can use their legs to move quickly
THANK YOU FOR BEING REALISTIC,these bjj people really think street fights are 1on1 fair fights on a mat with rules. YOU CANNOT GRAPPLE WITH MULTIPLE PEOPLE.
How can you include MMA when it is all of them combined?
Combat Sambo, Combat Hopak, HEMA, FMA
Judo i will guess the best for self defense. It teaches , balance, mobility, Explosiveness, and techniques. Judo stands is great to mix it with boxing or mauy thai. Judo throws are great for thowing a person and reminding standing. Getting hit on concrete in any judo throw is game endner. Also leg sweeps are great to sweep some 1 and runway while they are on the ground. U can also pin and submit a person after a throw. Bjj is also great but the ground is extremely dangerous on the streets. Wrestling is awsome for self defense.
I made up my fightning style it focuses on kicks and copying attacks while being calm and using box breathing while doghing it incorporates baguazhang and ti chi
Damn that actually does sound made up
Just. Do mix martial arts fit what’s best for you mix boxing with. Muay Thai switch to Muay Thai deadly kicks then switch back to a boxing stance mix em up confuse them up I remember when I got in the ring for the first time I mix boxing with some Muay Thai kicks I learned from my dad it was pretty good pj ch as fast a boxer kick as hard a Muay Thai fighter
I agree in a 1vs1 bjj or wrestling will do it too but if there are more opponents bjj for example is not really usefull
I’m in karate
Boxing, muay thai,wing chan >>
Muay Thai - Kickbox/Boxing - Wrestling/BJJ" Other Than That Is Less Effective
A combination of BJJ, in particular Gracie BJJ and Muay Thai. That is unless you can actually find somewhere that teaches real Lethwei instead of Muay Thai, if so then Lethwei.
Combat Sambo. No question
Learn abit of everything then you'll be experienced in many ways including ground the most effective is tai boxing and judo
Boxing IS a martial art 🥊 MMA is also a martial art because technically there are many “traditional” martial arts that borrow the same moves in variations such as punches, blocks, kicks, and takedown techniques. MMA is literally copy / paste of mostly muay thai and jiu jitsu. Still, it’s another style.
Bro How you prefer kickboxing over muay thai
If you’re tall then boxing for sure
Best martial art is a martial art that spars a lot.
Muay thai, elbows and knees make fights a breeze
And the throws😂 never once in my life seen someone throw a knee except on the ground
@@noland5345 then they are missing easy knock downs
@@noland5345Knees can be deadly when timed correctly
Mine is Okinawan karate but for the streets I would use boxing judo and Krav Maga
And yes karate has throws and knees
Except till they get suplexed and brain fluid comes out their ears.
Boxing, Muay Thai, jujitsu.
Scratch boxing, and add wrestling and i agree, muy thai does not go well with born as the have vere distinct stances, on your feet you use muy thai, then if you get the clinch you wrestle them to the floor, and choke them out with juijitsu.
i think replace jujitsu with Brazilian ju jitsu or wrestling
Boxing ,Muay thai and judo would be way more better for street
Wrestling is better than jujitsu in a street fight. Never ever want to be on your back and ok with it
@@noland5345 I say judo slams wrestling
The best one is called "run, Forest, run"
What about silat?
İm a boxer/wrestler know little bit elbow,knee
The best defense is to run away and avoid fights.
I've got tiny legs, so I train grappling and try to avoid dangerous scenarios.
You Can't always run away sometimes you will need to stand your Ground
@@bossmanfcktheworld-6632 Good point
Scenarios: There's a girl that you like but some guy who also likes her tries to bully threaten you because you appear physically weaker(than him).
Your sister's boyfriend or partner has physically beat or slapped her.
Do you run away in this situations?
@@bossmanfcktheworld-6632If it's a war, yes, you should stand your ground. If it's something like road rage, robbery attempt, or a fight caused by the silliest possible reason, avoiding a fight is still much better.
“You don’t want to go to the floor but don’t train in the absolute best martial art to keep you from ending up on the floor (wrestling) nor the best martial art in the worst case scenario that you do end up on the floor”.
You’re contradicting yourself. Wrestling, boxing, BJJ are essential. Of those three, I’d say get better at wrestling. Sprinkle in some Muay Thai clinch work and you’ll be very well rounded for most self defense situations.
The best would be a good mix of martial arts
I think the most deadliest martial arts is Brazilian jit jutsu
As a 30 year old weak physically and mentally what should I pick and where I go
Balls breaking martial arts
Kickboxing and sprinting
Kalarippayattu an ancient martial art from the south Indian states of Kerala and Tamil Nadu is one of the best, very dangerous and most effective self defence skills in real life scenarios.
It was developed exclusively for war and was actually practiced by warriors.it was so effective that the British actually banned it while they ruled Kerala. I have once seen a kalarippayattu expert easily taking down a tough guy in a street fight, and he did it with much ease. But the damage done to the opponent was quite serious.
What about Kyokushin?
CQC,Systema, Kudo, Hapkido, Taekwondo ITF, Judo, Karate, Krav maga : 🙂
Here in Jo’berg SA 🇿🇦
It’s
Gun & then run.
Ive always had issue with the idea of not doing grappling coz you dont want to be on the ground. This makes absolute no sence coz while i agree being on the ground is bad you therfore need a stlye that teaches takedown defence, ie grappling. You dont learn that in striking.
Mauy Thai and Boxing are my personal fav
A combination of Muay Thai & BJJ/Wrestling.
