Excellent for learning the mechanics of ball movement, but it needs to be borne on mind that a wide snap of the ball to left or right puts the ball holder at a momentary disadvantage if the opponent is not convinced that a player move to left or right is being made - and that disadvantage could lead to loss of the ball. The opponent simply waits for the return movement and interrupts it.
Snap to the right but if the opponent does not react to cover it then there isn't much point in returning the ball to a position in front of the feet, it will probably be better to take advantage of the opponent's failure to respond by accelerating to the right and away from the reach of the opponent - which means the ball holder has to be prepared to do that and is not simply moving the ball by rote i.e. in a way that is easy for an opponent to read.
