A better man back man's breaker was never devised. A better ear splitter than the Detroit Diesel never existed. Cheap enough and ready to make money with. Take it easy on the old girl, she's near the end.
Did he start his back engine first? if he did that wrong, you have one battery one transmission, I ran Scrapers and mostly Pulls till i was to old and broke up, but loved these TS14,18's I have many years operating these machines and i very fourtant in working whit some of th best formans ans supertendents
those rear tires look like L-4 or 5 rock tread tires these have no place on a scraper, these tires are made for loader work at low speeds these tires will overheat and separate in no time on a scraper which work at much higher speeds than loaders.
so bad: Feel for the person who works on those: so bad> I'm a retired cat Mechanic HRD/W; 40 years busting nuts; chased the 666 six most all of that time; I see a Terex I go the other way: so bad; good luck dude:

Them Detroits sound beautiful

Ha we own one of these worked good for small pond clean outs. Right up until the back transmission went out.
it needed more than a rack adjustment james what you dont see is the oil shooting out of #1 cylinder exhaust
That noise gives me goose bumps, they call them fuel converters, they convert fuel to noise,HAHA lol

Six grand?!! The bloody tyres would be worth more than that by themselves!

Strange how the crowd works on that machine, nothing like how my 621 crowds out material.
two rpm's for Detroit thats idle or WFO
What kind of diesel engine is that? Is it a Detroit?
How do you control the rear engine and rear wheel drive?
twin pedals one controls the lead engine one controls the rear. and if the cross plate broke you had to put your foot across both
i never understood the green paint on machines
DETROIT POWER!!
