I’m 45 & can remember recording this video, so I could pause it & get a good, long look at what I then believed to be the prettiest, coolest & sexiest woman I’d ever seen..& I still think she’s absolutely stunning & has a fantastic pair of pins..& it really doesn’t make it any better, when she keeps singing “I want you to cum all over me” .. that’s what I hear, anyhow 🤷♂️😂😂
I have attended a live performance by Heather Nova in 1998 -- it was fantastic. She is unfortunately so underrated :-( And I remember to have listened to "Walk this world" on the radio for the first time some morning in 1995 and I had the impression that this is good start of the day -- and it became a very fine day that changed my life for the better.
It's only took me twenty odd years or more to actually find this track again, I remember way back in 94 working with my dad, fitting aircon in to a gym and this came on MTV in the background, being a young impressionable indie kid I was blown away by it but never caught the artist name or title at the end, the only lyric line that stuck in my head was "walk this world with me" after several attempts of trying to figure out who it was I gave up, then probably distracted by the latest release of Nirvana or something! Only very recently after having a sudden light bulb moment I decided to search it out and here I am ha ha wow can see why I liked it and still do in fact :)
Buena historia., Paul. Me gustó. Great story. I like this kind of histories. I am from Venezuela. Excuse me my bad english. I remember that song because of the name of its singer, from 90's. I never forgot her name, but never knew the name of the song. Well, some day (10 years ago approximately) i was in the house of a friend, and we both were searching and spying in his older brother's pc, and seeing the songs archives we saw the name Heather Nova, and i said "Hey. I know this name", and we heard the song and recorded it in a mp3 cd together to other songs from that folder. Well, today i'm erasing songs of my computer to have free space in my pc, and after to heard the song for last time i erased it because i know that i don't need to hear it again, i mean that it already has made its job. But, after erased it i thought, "wait a minute.. i never have seen the video clip, and never have seen the face of the singer", then, i decided to seek it on youtube, and like this i could see and read your comment it is the first of all the comments of the video. Thanks for you history.
I feel you bro. Nice story. I just flicked on the TV while waiting for my 2 minute needles to cook and came across one of her songs while watching a Dawsons Creek re-run!. I Googled THAT song and here I am!! ...Crazy shit eh?
I just heard it in the end credits of a TV show, knew that I loved it many years ago but couldn't remember the artist. Googled that very line and here I am. How could I forget Heather Nova?
i got a drumstick from heather in 1997, she was performing in a small club in bavaria at the time. Her voice and her melancholy have always fascinated me, she is one of the most extraordinary voices I have ever heard.
One of the most talented ,underrated and beatifull women in the music scene.Heather, thnx for the fantastic songs you gave us. I hope to see you in one of your concerts when you're in my town in the Netherlands (Groningen)
I made a personal video with my lady back in 2007. She uttered that word, 'come'. Reminded me of this song. Watched a shit tonne of T.V and all those songs get tattooed in the memory from a teen including this one.
A real ambient classic. This version, the one that was released as a single, has one re-recorded lyric line. In order to get any radio airplay, Heather had to change the line "F***ed up by the lies" to "Sucked in by the lies". By the way, the combined sounds of cello and organ give the song its ambient flavour.
man, how come this chick wasn't/isn't BIGGER? she plays her own songs, she writes her own songs, she sings her own songs...and she's smokin' hot. all of her records have been at least pretty good, her live sets are fucking great......no justice in the musical world!
hello heather, hello everybody, i'm jacob from Holland, Drenthe, Zuidlaren here➡️🌍somewhere. I was in 2002 at a concert from heather & band in the Oosterpoort, Groningen, Holland. It was an amazing concert! Before the concert i gave my book 'Ik Ben Er Geweest' to one off her crewmembers. I hope heather have read the book, although it was written in Dutch
Thanks to Relesed This Song...I listened for the first time whwn i was in Lima there in the eighties...sounded as a great bonus to me Saludos Loreto Peru Saludos A Heather Nova Too
I found this single at a car boot sale and couldn't stop playing it, I haven't played it since about 2000 lol, but rediscovered again, it's a timeless song, she has a lovely softly type voice, I do however, think the lines (I want you to come I want you to come) would be interpreted as a sexual gesture in this day, lol

@siralanlordsugar he used to do Mazda commercials too ( a man's gotta eat). Apparently he is also a massive neo conservative. I never saw Sucker punch. I saw the commercial and thought it looked like a movie stuffed with ideas that didn't want to be put together.
@siralanlordsugar Cinematic atrocity? Zach Snyder is a great director. 300, Watchmen, Sucker Punch were all good films. The latter being the best. Each to their own I guess
I'm 56 and remember those days when this was on MTV. This makes me want to be in my 20's again, go travel the world with my soul mate girl friend.

A perfect example of underrated, so diverse in her songs , through voice and lyrics
The 90s were awesome. MTV was still good and actually showed videos. Great videos, great songs, like this one.
They messed it up with shitty ring tones
90's the best

Yes, I also saw her live in 1998. Possibly '99.
Wonderful artist such underrated. Wonder why?
This one should have a billion views

Same thing with me 12 years ago 😂😂
I just heard it in the end credits of a TV show, knew that I loved it many years ago but couldn't remember the artist. Googled that very line and here I am. How could I forget Heather Nova?
25 years later she (still) plays that particular song on her current tour. Last chance: November 7th, Bush Theatre, London.
Why can't I go back to 1994, it was a magical year for me. My first girlfriend, me graduating high school. And so much good music.
Rose coloured glasses
Gold!
@@dezza718 The 90's were awesome. The 80's sucked though

She sings beautifully.........
It took me in early days of spring 1994, when my parents were healthy and same age I am now. Regards from Kosova.

I'm 49 this year......fuck I miss this era and really struggling with getting older and I'm not sure why
i turned 25 the year this song came out, and i ate, drank, and breathed Heather Nova
Dedicated to all those that no one walks this world with them.

Still walking this world together (1995-2018)... with the light in our eyes.
You made me think she died. She's still alive
This is timeless.
Such a great song. I finally see the music video, equally great.
I still have this on cd single.
And me
One of the fewest good song's of the 90's.

Beautiful song by an even more beautiful young singer.

Canımın içi İstanbul'a gelmiş!!!!
It's the soundtrack to my life.
She has released 5 studio albums since 1994's "Oyster". The last one, "The Jasmine Flower", was released in 2008.
I can remember this song included in a cd called alternative world 1996 :D
The one with echobelly king of the kerb, and skydiver?

The best days...
2018 and this song is still relevant.

underrated song
Saf it is not underrated song, it's just an old song from 23 years ago, back then it was a big hit...
Funny that, I was in Venice my first time in 1994 when her debu album was releases... still mystical
Oh god i love this song sooo much! People say that the 80's rocked the music but the 90's also had quite few pearls...
yeh I agree there were few pearls. But 1980s were raining pearls :)
Heh, I was like nine when I saw this on tv and I just thought there was something in this clip that drew me in. Sweet memories.
for me too, I only heard it on 1994 ona TV show and today I don't now how to explain ti, I found it... 18 years ago, can you believe? It's crazy
"Oyster" is a great album.

Conocí a Heather por el excelente cover que hace de Gloomy Sunday, que estaba con el nombre de Portishead... Por mucho tiempo pensé que era de ellos
With the light in our eyes it's hard to see
I'm not touched but I'm aching to be
I want u to come and walk this world with me
And ill like you when you are old
"i want U to come ..."
the 90s was such an awesome time for rock
Anyone who dislikes this thinks Cheryl Cole is the greatest singer ever.
muito bom!!!!
" loved oyster, but i never heard her on radio or tv again after that.
typical music industry - not supporting its true talents and letting them slip into obscurity

wouldnt it be quicker to catch a few planes?
But you’d miss so much!!!

Such a shame they changed it in MP season 4 DVD set...
If I was gay, she would be it. Hell, even if I wasn’t, I would be flirting.
