It's been forever since I went to Rusch Park. It doesn't look any different from the video. Also, I agree, these parents need to keep a better eye on their kids. They need to let their kids know about staying safe while still having fun.
I went to a skate park for the first time yesterday, with my family since there was a playground too. I had to constantly tell them not to stroll through the middle of the skatpark, and not to play around in the bowl. I rollerskate so i just practiced getting used to the ramps and fakies, basics which tired me tf out lol. As a cruise rollerskater i was intimidated by the park pros, (i might have snaked someone once but i think they understood how nervous and newbie i was) and looked goofy trying new things. I hope i can become a regular and decent park skater, its just so amazingly cool. I gotta get some wrist guards though because i legit almost broke both my wrists at the same time lmao. Oh yeah and i met a real life scooter kid for the first time, he was chill and let me observe him sliding down into the (enormous) bowl
That sounds awesome! It's always nice to find other roller skaters, especially when talking about skate park stuff, it's not as common I guess. I unfortunately don't have a skate park near me though 😭
I read some reviews on this skatepark, 50 percent were people that hate scooter kids, and the other 50 percent were parents that brought their kids. One lady said that she brought her 2 and 5 year olds and some of the kids got out of the way to let them “play on the ramps”. Major oof

I love the people who are recording act like the people I play paintball with and they act as crazy as if they were in a paintball match- (Tip: always wear gloves when playing paint ball cause if you get shot in the hand and there like 5 feet away that shit will hurt🥴
