Preprocessing steps demonstrated in this video is just an example. You must first inspect the condition of your data before choosing the suitable preprocessing steps. If your LIDAR data already classified, skip this preprocessing and continue directly to CHM generation (tutorial will be published in the next few days), or use lasground tool (to classifiy the bare earth ground points) before doing the rest of the classification.
Please also remember that LASTools is not a free software. I strongly recommend you to buy it to avoid additional hassle steps such as data splitting and merging (especially if you are handling a massive volume of LIDAR data).
