- I got to install my old MercRacing heat exchanger on my friends B8.5 S4, so I decided to make a video for all you B8 guys since there are some small differences compared to a C7.
Keep in mind this is a V1 MercRacing HX, but the installation will be just the same for any of the new versions from them.

My Merc HX shipped yesterday! Thanks for the discount code and helpful cross-platform videos. They’ve been a huge help with my B8 3.0T project car. And you’re correct…B8 coolant line feeds into HX from passenger side and out driver side. 👍🏼
The SQ5's do have that little driver side heat exchanger by the coolant pump! As always, great video!!

I'll be doing this soon on my B8. Mine has the little side panel secondary HX you spoke of. The previous owner also put some sort of aftermarket HX on also, and ironically it's a lot smaller than that one you showed. I believe it's even smaller than OE! I suspect this car was in an accident, hence the CAP bumper and a patched up HX loop. Anyway, you left me with great answers, some other questions that I should be asking anyway to get this right...big help! Thanks!

You guys dont have to make the brackets face inwards. Outwards is a option too
@AudiC7Owners not sure if you will see this but does the Non-CREC cats align with the CREC? Looking to get some off a 2014 a7 and put them on my 2016 a7 but I want to make sure they fit.
I think they are different. Go to an online parts website and compare the part numbers.
To be clear, they probably will fit, but I think the newer cats are better quality

I think the newer ones have better cats. You don't hear of them failing very often

I went with Jackals Dual Pulley stage 2+. Im running a 207mm crank pulley ajd a merc racing heat exchanger. My IATs are super high right now and Matt mentioned i should get a CWA100 pump and get a divorced coolant loop kit. Do you think yhe divorced kit will help much mote or should i just do the CWA100 for now?
Divorcing the loop is the 2nd best thing you can do for your iats' as long as you run distilled water.
I'd first make sure your coolant Loop guys the supercharger is properly bled. If you have air in the system you will get really high iats
@@AudiC7Owners ok I'll check for any air in the system. And maybe I'll jsit order the divorced loop kit for now and hold off on the CWA100
Hey a problem just came up on my audi it is a 2013 audi a6 3.0t and I was driving and a message came up that said "cooling system fault turn engine off" and when I pulled the codes it has....secondary air circuit low, pcv valve circuit low, coolant pump malfunction, secondary air short, oil pressure valve short, cylinder head coolant valve short, evap purge valve short and both engine mounts short iv only had the car for 2 months and this is my first audi so don't know much about them..do you have any thoughts as what it could be
With the amount of faults you have you need to get your car into a shop ASAP. I'd tow it

Considering how closely related the B8 to platform is to the C7 I don't think there should be any problem with this. But if you don't think that this channel will grow and expand to other makes and models eventually then I've got some bad news for you, lol. Don't worry though, I will still be putting out C7 content more often than anything else.
