As a big lover of the first few Alien movies and Alien Isolation, this getting announced for DBD was a dream come true for me
Since I heard some of the questions you said, I figured I'd answer them for you if that's alright.
First I'll talk about the Xenomorph. The Xenomorph is the only character that can go through the tunnels. The survivors can't. When the Xenomorph is in the tunnels, it can detect noises, hear footsteps, and move around the map at fast speeds. The Xenomorph can enter a mode called "Runner mode" which makes the Xenomorph go on all fours and it can attack either by basic attacks or with its tail, which can hit you from a distance.
Now for the survivor side of this.
From what you saw, the turrets are flame turrets which can distract the Xenomorph by burning it. This will make the meter deplete and the Xenomorph can't enter runner mode. That's not the only use for them tho. They can detect when the Xenomorph is close and can also keep the Xenomorph from detecting your footprints when she's in the tunnels. The turrets can deactivate for a bit so it's important to keep it fixed. The Xenomorph can also destroy the turrets just by hitting them. Each burrow contains at least 4 turrets each.
I’ve been waiting for this, The Xenomorph is probably one of the most well balanced killers released in a while. (Granted the survivors make use of the turrets)
ehh, Xeno has a lot going for it. Seeing footsteps while its underground, instant tail attack, and it gets its power back almost instantly underground so the flame turrets arent as punishing. I think it'd be more balanced if it couldnt see the footsteps and its power didnt regen so fast.
@shadowboy0126 if it couldn't see(hear) the foot steps then it would fall under with trapper and nurse unfortunately the power back definitely needs a slight adjustment in speed but at the same time it's better to be on the surface at all times once you find them the 1st time unground only helps when it's like the last person trying to hide and even then it's hard to locate people when between gens

Xeno is soo strong with the right perks
Essentially how the Xeno's power works is that it can go through those tunnels you saw in the trailer (which only spawn if the Xeno is the killer, survivors can't use it). When it is standing up it cannot use its tail attack, but a meter fills up and when it's full it can use its tail almost as a short whip to injure people. The flame turrets allow the survivors to burn the alien out of its runner mode (the one where it can use its tail). Hope this helps!!!

Bethany you were doing SO WELL! I love that Ken remembered the drink! In Dead by Daylight, the tunnels are only killer-accessible, and specifically, Xenomorph-accessible. Same as the turrets, the turrets are only available for survivors when going against the Xenomorph. Lots of the community joked that they would like something like the turrets to be implemented for going against other killers. But I doubt this will come to fruition!
so for the locker argument the reason why lockers and gens look how they do is because these maps arent the real places, they are the entity's recreation, and for being a type of god it isnt perfect. It will make the environments as close as possible however some maps have shown more of the entity's corruption than others. An example would be RPD from Resident Evil. So in lore theres a reason why the lockers and gens all look the same

The tunnels only spawn on the map when the killer is a Xenomorph, so they’re specific to it.
Also just to clarify, the flamethrower and the scanner are the same thing; the survivors can put them anywhere on the map and it scans for the alien, it beeps faster and faster when it is getting closer and then when it is in the radius it shoots flames at it. The flames slow it down and knock it out of its Crawler mode. In Crawler Mode, it’s on all fours and has a special ranged attack with its tail. When it’s knocked out it goes back to standing on 2 legs.
Also fun fact! The cat Jonesy is on the Nostromo Wreckage map. When you quietly go in a locker located in the wreck itself, there’s a chance Jonesy will hop out and meow loudly before running off, which locker it is is random though.
Theres some neat easter eggs on the new map. When you check a locker on the ship, theres a chance Jonesy the cat will pop out. Running past the med bay window on the ship will cause a face hugger to smack into it as a little jumpscare. Theres also a secret room you can open up by doing a little puzzle.
Xenomorph is currently living up to its title as there's many complaints in the community about nerfs, think that befits an apex species

You guys should see the Xenomorph's lobby entrance animation, as well as the Queen Alien's special lobby animation entrance! It's really cool!
chemical trap dose not do too much to the alien because it can use its tail to hit over pallets but only when it is crawling on all limbs. that perk is mainly annoying for killers that need to brake the pallets to get to the survivor.
The xeno can crawl in the tunnel and the only one who can achieve that ! The xeno have also a second ability to throw acid from the tail, and to do that he need to go in crawler mode and to force the killer to go out of this mode you need to burn them with the flame thrower that also work as a radar to detect the killer
Also I hope you will react to the mori which is pretty neat
He doesn't spew acid. It's a thrust attack with a visual hitbox indicator.

the reason the alien in isolation would camp you if you hid was because of the way its AI works. it has two brains one that knows exactly where you are at all times and one that dosent that makes decisions on where to look. the one that knows would give the seccond one hints every now and then, thus it kept coming back to your location if you hadent moved.

My dream came true. Waiting for Alien chapter since they started to put licensed characters into the game. Purchased all skins. It's my favourite horror franchise. It's a dream to play as and against the XENOMORPH. So good to whip that tail. The Alien Queen is easily the tallest killer in the game, surpassing Nemesis, but in the game you can go on all fours.

Don’t know exactly when they are coming. We haven’t watched it yet. But do plan to check them out. In the next month or so we should have plenty of MK videos because of all the content to check out from new game 😅
