Chicken auctions are a popular phenomenon in the United States and elsewhere, but are they really what they seem? We'll explore this chicken auction and the animals they are selling. After watching this video, you'll be better prepared to make an informed decision about whether or not to visit a chicken auction - or any auction for that matter!
A good name for the rooster would be Einstein. He had crazy eyebrows.

I wish they would say the names of the chickens louder can't hear them and I can't read them when they show the tags it's too quick I'm enjoying this but I wish I could hear it and see the tags better or what kind of chickens I'm looking at very interesting I'm enjoying it

Tom Selleck and Groucho Marx have bushy eyebrows. You brought home a pretty rooster and a big snuggle bunny. I really do miss your Calico hen though. I think she'll always be my all time favorite.
Calico hen was wonderful. She we think got taken out by a feral cat passing through. 😭
He is gorgeous. Loves his eyebrows too. He just looks like he looking in your soul.

YOU NEED A GRAB KAYSON THE NEXT TIME YOU GO TO A CHICKEN ACTION AND LET HIM BID ON SOME CHICKENS OF HIS VERY OWN, HE JUST LOST HIS LAST LAYING HEN TO A DARN WILD FURAL CAT. HE WAS SO HEART BROKEN IT MADE YOU WANT TO CRY. THEY GOT THAT CAT BUT THE HURT IS STILL THERE.

I have to find a chicken auction in my area.
I could sit and watch them all day long.
When I was young we had Rhode Island Reds
because that's what my grandparents had.
I never knew there was any other kind. If I was where I could raise some I'd like some Reds because I like the colors. But also some breed that could be both good egg layers and meat birds.

One of my favorite breeds are Silkies. I absolutely loved the white one they had there
I loved going to chicken shows. But, I have never been to an auction before.
Yes that white rooster was fabulous and seemed to have a personality. I love chicken shows. There is only a few shows a year by us. I would love to go to more.

Nice auction house, we usually have good luck at Watsons Auction in Maud. They sell misc, goats than poultry but can go on late into the night.
I haven’t tried Maud. We may have to go try it out
The rooster needs to be named Eugene after the actor Eugene Levy .. dark brown with bushy eyebrows

What a variety of birds. Some of the colors were brilliant. Herschel or Hershey would work, Coco Puff, for the rooster. The rabbit is huge and handsome. Greybeard?

The pigeon looks like a Show Homer pigeon, with that curve going the complete length of the beak and head. What was it in the cage that you were petting at 2:25 into the video? The Polish rooster went for $19 or $20. There wasn't any hens at this auction. But the last one they had some Polish pullets and they brought $37.50 each. And the hens went higher just depends on color and quality as well. Im glad you think Im getting better on the camera. Im trying really hard and to be honest its ruff lol

Average rooster $2-$3 Nicer rooster $20-$50 Rare breed or Game $150+

Most of the time it’s by word of mouth or Facebook chicken groups
So were the prices way higher than previous auctions?
Prices are always higher in the spring. I thought prices for the most part were good for buyer and seller. Some things go high and some go low. But overall was good
I don't know how anyone understands the auction voice lol.
