The more You watch these commercials the more you miss those days
Commercials in a world that has sadly passed into history.
"For the price that's always right, See Seamans first"..... I will never forget that jingle.... Before Bob's Furniture, There was Seamans....
Long live the 80's
My childhood is calling me back again
That ad with the frank Perdue mask was something I thought I imagined as a kid. I also thought that was Leonard NeMoy
I believe I have correctly identified the airdate for this: Sunday, February 17, 1985.
Throwing up in the tri-state area I remember these commercials vividly Thanks for the Memories
Throwing up?
@@roderickstockdale1678 I think she was trying to say growing up my dear
This is back in the Metromedia days before WNYW (formerly WNEW TV) became one of the first FOX affiliates. A truly independent station. Miss these days.
😃Me, 2 personally, *Chrissy Cuts!😄*
Wow, I was in 12th grade dying to graduate and be done with school. I can still recall a lot of this.
Renault 8.5% in '85, I was in the Army stationed in West Germany. I remember watching this and Crazy Eddie commercials back in my Brooklyn days. What I really appreciate is the I Love NY commercial with Gregory Peck, Liza Minelli, Frank Sinatra and Mikhail Baryshnikov. Excellent.
Hey thanks for your service my friend
I don't know if to laugh or cry.
Does anyone else recall a seat belt PSA consisting of a vignette of folks putting them on, including (who I assume to be) Victor Borge? It had this unforgettable tune that I haven't been able to find since the advent of YT.

So much pride in NY back then. You just don't see that anymore.
Man, holiday sales were a much bigger thing back then?
Ahhhh, the Washingtons Birthday sales frenzy.....every retailers way of getting rid of excess Christmas stock.
I like the music to the big Apple movie
That jingle lives in my head forever.
@@DocHalliday Word.
So do I.
Champale!!!
40 years of fine tuning? Their signal must've been AWFUL.
If residents from Connecticut, New Jersey & Upstate can get the signal? It was pretty strong.
I so remember that intro for this big Apple movie !!!
Btw I believe that Steve Rhodes from married with children in the red lobster 17:18
Goodbye Red Lobster!!!!
17:17 Steve from Married with Children LoL
But was Norman Lamb on "It's Your Move".
@@drummingdanny84 yes I think Jason Bateman was in that also.
Where did this come from, specifically?
I got some recorded tapes from a relative in New Jersey back in 2016 and this was part of that lot
1. Does This Tape Have The Sign Off At The End Of The Movie?
2. Is It VHS Or Betamax?
Please Comment Me, Do Not Forget!
It doesn't have the sign off, and this is from a VHS.
Speaking of Betamax, that commercial makes me want to own a Beta machine SO BAD.
And Since I Wanted To Get This Beta Machine! I Will Show It To You Right After My Graduation Party!
A new car even in the showroom looked like shit
