I like how you used a clip of the 'malding' guy at 6:24 to express the significance of starting from service desk job. 🤣

thank you for this, i just graduated too and been job hunting with no luck so far. I've been applying for roles that really require experience though, so its understandable. I hope to find myself in your spot one day. All the best and cheers!

Great video bro ! Appreciate the info. I’m 22 and I graduated with a bachelors in something non tech related and I regret it, my grades also took a hit because of the COVID situation so I can’t really get into a grad program. The thing is, I’ve been fascinated with cybersecurity what would be my most realistic option to break into the field ??

I'm a current undergrad for Computer Network System Management major. I want to go into cyber security, what types of job titles are good for someone with little to nothing knowledge . Or what other tips you have for a student like me. In other word I would love an internship for cybersecurity. Nice and very clear video man.

you will likely have better luck applying to cybersecurity internships- tho helpdesk is usually recommended if you want a real job as your first step. security analyst can be done as well, provided you get security+ and/or have good projects within resume/portfolio. Not a lot of entry level positions are actually entry level, outside helpdesk, unfortunately

I find this so unfortunate..I’m a CS major . I consider myself to have some talent , nothing crazy . With computer science I can get a solid role as a junior data scientist or data analyst, or junior developer for whatever language , can go do freelance work ,
But with IT …I’ve taken networking and am security plus …start 4-5 years at help desk ??? Really ??? NO WONDER IT has a short on talent !

I'm currently a 40-year-old HVAC service technician but I'm starting to program with NC State It's just a boot camp for now for cybersecurity and then after the boot camp you decide if you want to actually enroll in the program and it's about a 1-year program for cybersecurity is this even viable being I don't I mean I can use computers and do certain things on them but I'm not an IT guy by any means I'm in the heating and air conditioning field but is this something viable by going this route or not thanks for your input

Hey there, if you're really interested in Cybersecurity then I would say go for it. However, this field requires basic technical IT skills so being computer-savvy is needed. If you feel like you struggle to follow the content in the bootcamp then it might be difficult for you down the path.

@@TechwithJono no it hasn't been difficult so far. Im using my triple screen iracing sim rig for the class. I'm good with computers but I'm just not someone who fixes them on the regular but I have done my own research and have troubleshot my sim rig a few times but I'm not it type either, just learn on the fly. I just want to make sure if I do the entire program I can actually get a job. Thanks so much for the input
