It blows my mind that people with so much potential, who are so close to getting out of a tough situation if they’re in one, commit felonies and throw it all away.
@@Aaron-ed5xsyou sound dumb lmfaoo you got no idea where he was in his life when he committed the crime, just cause you have the talent doesn’t mean you’re bound to make it. Other things come into count such as who he surrounded himself around, the right people wouldn’t have let that happen.
@@notcalabasasI’ve played ball with dozens of D1 guys. There is usually 2 different types: the first type is the person who was very disciplined, worked hard as fuck all the time and basically had zero life outside of basketball. These guys don’t cause any trouble usually. The second type: the person who was physically gifted and just beyond talented from a young age. They get away with a ton from coaches and family because of their potential and talent. They still work hard, but they’re not very disciplined and they don’t work nearly as hard as just an average player, but their talent still puts them head and shoulders above everyone else. These guys have been given everything and don’t really know what consequences are. They never pan out because once you hit that next level, everyone is just as talented as you, but they will work harder
@@Noles4life77 You don't have to love the sport to go far if you're top 5% talented and top 5% physically gifted (out of all basketball players pick up or otherwise). Hell if either of those is 0.01% you can often go to college while not giving a fuck. 5% x 5% is a 1/400 player. That's AAU level right there. Probably an average level AAU guard at around 6'1" with good but not pro level athletic ability. Then if you are 6'9" and NBA athletic with top 5% talent, you are top 0.0001% in physical gifts. That's a 1/200,000 player. This guy can have the same AAU high school average skill level, and will go to D1 college, and meet the guys who are maybe in the top 1% for athletic ability (not NBA athletes) but have 0.001% talents, and not be able to beat them, and in fact struggle a lot in structured 5v5 college games where the bad athletes are close enough to use IQ and skill to slow down this "natural" and take advantage of his mistakes as a team. Only once you're able to play pro center (the eligible field is so small) can you get away with any lack of genuine elite talent and still succeed at college level or above
If I got one thing out of this Go to fuckin college wit ur hoops develope get a degree and all these options over seas still gonna be there he’ll maybe a better draft
The biggest mistake I see very talented high school players make is they stop trying to elevate their game. They don’t come to practice thinking about what they need to improve, they come with the mindset “I’m him, I don’t even need to practice” attitude. They literally get in their own way, and no matter how much you try to explain to them that there is no mountain top, even the most elite players can still get better, they don’t listen. They learn much to late that life isn’t a game & that when you have opportunity in front of you, to get complacent is basically a death sentence to your career.
I’m from New Zealand but there was a high schooler I use to watch from America called Sebastian Telfair I thought he would make the NBA one day what ever happened to him?
A Lot more of these videos to come. American players can play, but all of their game is similar and they are becoming less marketable to NBA league. People forget it’s an entertainment company. Yes, you can hoop, but what more can you bring🤔 NBA will draft an Overseas developmental player before they take an American baller
Some of these guys are so delusional and so are the people around them. I'm far from a scout and can tell most of these kids aren't playing at the NBA level in the next few years. Your the man in high school but once you get to College everybody can play. The third string point guard on a Division 1 team was the man in high school. Look at the kid who does awesome dunks, You ain't playing at the NBA level with that size.High school basketball and College basketball are to different worlds. Getting a good education is going to get your further in life, than basketball will most of the time.
Let me paraphrase for some of these guys. They can’t spell their own name and were given a high school diploma. Couldn’t stay eligible in college and aren’t playing basketball or are playing overseas.
Absolute bullshit that the guy from Western Kentucky is allowed to carry the ball like he does. GARBAGE,,,, NBA and college basketball needs to stop this garbage... Has ruined the game... Kids on the ball court practice like Globetrotters now,,,,, call the carry for God's sake
The thumbnail featured zero players from the video. Kind of misleading as a lot of people were probably wondering what two white boys were doing in this video?? As for the content of the video..well it’s all over the place. Guys like Greg Oden being mentioned seemed kind of like a waste of time (everyone who knows ball knows what happened to Greg Oden). If I were to offer helpful feadback it would be to shorten the video and dive deeper into a handful of prospects that played against current players and show that footage.
Who did y’all like to watch the most out of these guys?!
Aquille Carr or Terrance Ferguson
Bald Mocchie
Jimma
Nicco
Trey parker
Bro I thought Seventh Woods was gonna be the next goat LMAO
Making NBA is so hard. Less than 5,000 men have played in NBA. That is insane
Imagine that…. The nba didn’t sign a kidnapper 😮

There is so much genuine untapped talent that has been in & out of the D/G League.
