    I am having grey patches on paper. It reduces after some 5 prints, but it is still there. I refilled the toner and this problem started. Toner powder is depositing on the drum. Model is brother HL - L2321D.

      No, I did not remove old powder.
      Tried cleaning drum with normal cloth, without alcohol. The powder deposits again. I get shade all over the page.
      Also I realised that powder that I have used was of Ricoh Sp111 printer. I just thought all powders are same.
      I will try cleaning drum with Isopropyl Alcohol and update.
      Or can i remove all the powder, get a powder that is designed for L2321D and print?
      Please suggest

    Hi viandant5 Great Video as usual, very helpful!! and as usual as well I have a question out of this subject, I hope you can help me, I have a Laser Brother Printer HLL9310CDW that it doesn't want to calibrate, I tried everything, cleaning the drum (even disassemble it to clean it like you show on the other video) clean the fusor, and after that started to print double on the same page first the color document i sent to print and on top of that a full black page, after that the machine did not CALIBRATE at all, it says Failed to calibrate turn off and back on, at this point I have done it like 50 times, the machine is already hot and cooling down because of all the attempts to calibrate, register, and print, right now after all the on and off the prints are comming out without the black print on them, but now because of the inability to calibrate half of the page is the right color and the top part of the page is barely there color.. Any idea on how to force the machine to calibrate??? This has happened before and I know almost for a fact that if the machine calibrates everything corrects.. I just don't know what else to do.. Please help!!

      If one of the cartridge is defective it will not calibrate. Are you sure the cartridges are correctly inserted? try remove and reinsert them

    Good morning, and thanks for the video. I ask if, in your experience, you can indicate a brand that preserves the components more than others for the same model. I'm happy with my Brother HL3140CW. But from ambiguous problems with DRUM to 15,000 pages, rather than the 18,000 of life. That model has been replaced with the HL3210CW which has different mounts for toner and components. Having identical characteristics, it seems like an economic policy rather than a technological evolution. Thank you.

    • @viandant5
      @viandant5  Před 8 měsíci

      Yes it's a marketing policy. The drum life depends on usage. If you print 100 sheets at once the drum is less worn than you print 100 sheets one at once in different work sessions. It depends on the paper too. some tyoe of paper are more rough so consume the drum more. 15000 could be normal
