It's a great job Steph but with Jan you always feel that you have heard it before, whether it's a song, riff or solo and most of his solos consist of a thousand notes with random harmonics thrown in anywhere. I used to be quite a defender of Jan but Senjutsu has changed that...anyway top job by you again.
Hard disagree and would swap that with Davey. Janick has written the best song on maiden records pretty much going back to Fear of the Dark. Senjitsu is just not a good record.
H is my fav guitarist but I think Jan has great phrasing

(also I have to say it's pretty sad that solo already got as many views as the magnificent Uli solo I posted last week...)
Couple 5 star solos that spring to mind, Dance of Death, Brave New World, Fallen Angel, Fear of the Dark. Those are all creative and memorable for me and outshine the other solos in those respective songs. It's all preference really
Great job , now teach us how to do it while cavorting and doing leg stretch's...lol...jk
A lot of his solos sound the same, still good though.
