You kind of wonder if the town comes to life when you are asleep and everyone moves around until daybreak. Great layout.
Ya know, as much as the "rivet counters" and scale-enthusiasts may complain and jeer about Lionel, there is real play value with Lionel! You've done a wonderful job of incorporating the operating features into your layout. I'll bet you and friends have a lot of FUN operating on your layout! Congratulations on a fine job!
fantastic videos really portrays action and hrs of fun
All I could say is WOW!! Simply amazing! ! The layout is gorgeous. The accessories were fun to watch in action. Everything looked as if it would be there or should be there. Enjoy it for many years to come. Wish more of today's younger generation would get involved in this hobby instead of video games. Vince
This is one of the best layouts I have ever seen. I don’t usually watch accessories as I prefer to watch train action, but this was so good I had to watch the whole video. Well done.
I love the smoke plume from the steam engine. Wow! Totally awesome layout. And oh my goodness the $$ you have invested in it. It's worth every penny! The workmanship and pride shows the love. Gorgeous. GOD bless you brother!
Man this is what I want my layout to be 😊, thank you for sharing l really appreciate it.
I love it its much better then watching $$$ trains running around in circles
What a great layout! Amazing that you got all those operating accessories to work correctly. Nicely done!
Wow! Great video Sean! Love seeing your accessories at work!
Great array of accessories. Be glad that your layout is large enough to accommodate them all. Keep em moving.
(Tom again.)
I really liked the ice house worker shoving the ice (cubes) blocks into the frozen rail car. Really neat!!!!
Love the boxed goods getting thrown straight out the door and the forklift driver who looked like he been down the road at the pub waiting for his shipment of wood lol. Brilliant thanks for sharing.
SEAN...FREAKING AWESOMENESS...EXCELLENT LAYOUT AND ALL THAT GOES WITH IT!!!!!!!
Nicely done video! Beautiful layout.
A kids dream in the 1950’s and you have me dreaming again!
Thanks, Merry Christmas 🎄
Love all the accessories Sean! The best part, at our age, is that you can have all the stuff you wanted as a kid but your parents either could not afford to give it all to you or they didn't want to spoil you LOL Thanks bud!
You´re right! And keep in mind: It´s never too late for a happy childhood!
Merry Christmas!
Bill, I could not have said it better. My dad got me the barrel car but could not afford the barrel loader. I finally got one, 50 years later.
Thanks for a interesting video. You have done a marvelous job of blending the scale and semi -scale in your miniature railroad empire. I enjoyed all the operating features you have especially the rotary coal dumper. I would guess that those hopper cars all have rotating couplers to allow for that. Thanks for sharing your layout with us.
Great video! All my stuff is post war vintage and doesn't work as smoothly as the newer stuff, but there's a lot to be said for the primitive engineering from the '40's and '50's. It has a certain old world "charm" to it. I really love your layout!
I've been helping my friend build his Lionel layout and he is doing this on a dime. He buys most of his items from auction and a lot of these items date back to the 50's; so, it's nice to see the same animation in the more modern design. Thank you.
Amazing layout and everything brings it alive.....great to see such an intensive layout...
I enjoyed this video. Brought back many memories. Also got to see some operating accessories for the first time. Thanks for sharing.
Excellent video of an excellent layout. Enjoyed all the operating accessories. That looks like a Bradford pear tree in the front yard of the house with the swings. Thanks for sharing.
I’m glad to see that another person has made a large sized lay out using Lionel’s fast track. I’m in the process of building a 25’ x 18’ layout using fast track and I’m covering the progress on my own CZcams channel. I’m planning on ballasting my track the same way, ie the sides of the track.
These are so cool. I wish I had the time and place to get my sets back out. Good looking layout.
Just amazing! Have a good 2020.
(This is Tom, not Sandra.)
Such a great and detailed video of the workings in this layout. Thank you for sharing it all!!!! I loved all of the little mechanical machine parts in the layout that moved. Very detailed and intricate. Really fantastic!!!! Thanks again for sharing it all.
Awesome video!
You packed as much fun as could into your layout Sean. It's just what Lionel aimed for, and you did an amazing job!
Outstanding video! Thanks for sharing!
Fine rolling stuff, and a good collection of operating accessories. Greetings from Germany!
Great layout. I love the radioactive cars with the lights flashing.
The layout is realistic looking, A Great job you did. The accessories are nice , work well and blend in to the scenery !!!!!
That's the most action I seen yet of the train videos. This is ultra cool.
Beautiful layout, excellent filming and control of your trains and accessories. I too am a fan of operating accessories. With a bit of patience and some tweaking, here and there, my post-war accessories all work perfectly, most of the time.....LOL Some of them, such as the culvert duo are quite a bit noisier than your modern versions however. But still, it's fun to see them in operation as well as tinker with them to get them to do so.
That is quite some layout you got there bud I'm impressed with the real locomotive sounds of steam and Diesel now all you have to do is weather you're Rolling Stock and some of your scenery and structures. Everything is so brand new and shiny looking good job
Wow...you have a SUPER layout ... Congrats!
Thanks for sharing your Lionel accessory layout, many of them look incredibly good to watch and operate.
The "Time" alone, you have in this layout. Very nice !
Oh Man That Was Awesome thank you lovely layout you have thanks for showing us
I can't thank you enough for this video. My son in law recently told me about a train his grandfather had given him but, that he played with it about a week brfore his Mom packed it away.
He just told me about this, of course I had to look.
O guage lionel with one trolley, a pre-war three car unit that is unfortunately damaged, a locomotive (in for service since I just found it) with tender, 6 cars including a milk jug car, 30 straight, 22 curves and a couple of short track.
Also, a KW transformer, another 1033 transformer, 4 track switches with frayed (of course) wires, one uncoupler, 5 misc plastic cars, a station and an oil rig. Seems to me everything works for the most part.
This has rekindled a love from childhooh.
I have already spent about $1200 on track, about a hundred feet plus the 40 I already have, a couple more switches and decoupler/unloaders, a diesel locomotive, 100 people and trees, a lot of buildings.
All of which I have just bought over e-nayy.
I have no layout yet planned and am looking for some help with experience.
At the VERY high end of using all of 7'x12'. I know I should keep the center somwhat open for access.
Send help directly to my e mail bill.linnert1@gmail.com.
Thanks ever so much train people
how did i miss this video. great stuff 👍
Now, this is my kind of Man Cave, sans anything sports. Good job on your RR Layout.
Most of us dream having the space for a layout such as this one.
Christmas 365 days of the year. My wife would never see me.
That was awesome!!! Thanks for sharing!!
HI Sean's Trains.....: Gary here, from Michigan. Cool operating accessories demonstration.
• Cheers from The Detroit & Mackinac Railway 🚂
Excellent video Sean!!!
How fun! Thank you for sharing 🚂
We all wanted these accessories when we were 5 years old because the action and structure of them seem to be designed to amuse a 5 year old rather than be prototypical. Nice to see these to bring back memories but seeing them also reminds me how much I've grown out of them.
Ingenious mechs, love em....
Hello I was watching your video which I like very much I saw that you had a police car that lights up I have been trying to keep up the good work enjoy your videos
nice layout thanks for sharing I get my inspiration from guys like you
Fantastic, what modern tec. can do to modern trains ,I still enjoy my old post war trains ,there is something magic about them.
Brings back my childhood from 1950`s. I had log loading, a box car that threw out boxes to a platform, coal car that was very messy, a refrigerator car with a man that pushed magnetic milk cans onto a steel platform. Mine was just an 8x8 plywood , but fun. I did find a book at the local library in the 70`s or 80`s that had all the things I once owned.
Great video.....very impressive!
The most animated layout I have ever seen! Excellent!!
philip stien, if you can’t enjoy something as intended, and can’t say anything nice or constructive, then SHUT UP.
Incredible!
Sean, really cool operating layout, looks like you have every accessory possible. Enjoy your channel. I wanted to order an H10 like you have, and guess what Lionel no longer producing it, and they don’t plan on producing it again. Liked you video on the Universal Remote. After a 1 year Hiatus you inspired to start up again. Thank for the push.
The best Post-War, O-Gauge layout I have ever seen. I aspire to be at this level. Thanks for sharing.
Amazing set up - thanks
Very impressive puts mine to shame, however you gave me some inspiration to add more operating accessories.
kudos on the train layout--so animated! luv it...btw, the green mini at 8:27 i have the same type of mini...and that one was not easy to find.
Amazing stuff!
The box car unloading is the funniest, it looks like the hobo inside threw those boxes out himself.
A paradise for children, i think. Nice to see this. Greets from Germany.
Very Nice . Thank You for sharing.
Finally a video of on the layout
This is so cool!
That is awesome!!
A beautiful layout! Wonderful workmanship here. To everyone, are there videos available providing tips and suggestions for building and structure placement as well as properly routing and hiding wiring? Thanks everyone for any information you have.
Very nice. I enjoyed the video
awesome layout
Very nice and good video.
Incredible
that’s really cool!
Very nice action!
Nice layout!
Great video
Just pure fun!
You need a museum!
outstanding. thanks so much
You had most of the usual suspects, buzzing and TMCC smooth.... 😎
But to me, the real Stars were the spectacular slow speed control of those Locos!! 😳👍👍👍👋👋👋👋
Awesome video, AAA+++++
this is awesome !!!!!!
good looking layout
nice video, thanks for sharing
32:27 Looks like someone did an Isurance Job there! Great Layout... Bar none.
Awesome!
you posted that on my b-day
Pretty damn cool dude. Had no idea they had this much out there.. wow.. hell of a set up..
Yeah well Lionel has been around for 100 plus years so there has been all kinds of stuff made over that time.
@@seanstraindepot your one engine was really putting out the steam.. did you do anything with that steam unit or smoke solution?
I knew Lionel had a lot of accessories but Holy Cow!!
Wonderful.
Amazing...
Operating trains is definitely fun, but adding either operating accessories or stationary accessories, it only enhances it with more fun to your layout. For instance, who doesn’t like to see a #145 Gateman come out on his own, or using a #182 Magnetic Crane? It gives your layout life! And when you turn the room lights off, and all you see are accessories with all of their vibrant different colored lights, that’s a layout that has tremendous play value. It’s a home run in my book. Since when you last did this video Sean, have you added or removed any of your accessories? I love all of the animation you have. It looks fantastic!! Maybe you can do an updated video on your accessories again! I think that would be a hit with your new, as well as your current subscribers.
I added a treehouse but no other operating ones yet. But I will be doing a big change in the fall and creating an Amusement Park with all the Lionel Rides and a Coaster.
Thank you for sharing
Very kool 🚂❤️👍
this is epic
Great video. Such a wide variety of accessories. But you're missing my favorite. The 282 magnetic gantry crane.
9:46 This is really cool!
love the fedex car
My late Uncle couldn't afford the big accessories when he was a kid, so he taught himself how to build with wood, tin, heavy card, etc - he made some beautiful copies of Lionel goodies, using the pics in catalogs & examples at his local train shop as models. My cousins didn't want any of it when he passed away, so I inherited some fantastic stuff which I regard as works of art. His version of the huge lift bridge is incredibly detailed, right down to tiny bunches of realistic weeds & microscopic discarded cigar stubs from the carved hobos !
