Its amazing how you found a brittle star walking around during broad daylight. That sea cucumber was so lucky intuitive in escape performance coverage. What a generous luck separated? Yes, those bluish linkys are fun related. I mentioned about a personal story with one of them. In my other comments of another video. Thanks for such videos. It shows and tells us so much more we get to wonder about. 🐙
I remember when I was on the island of Guam I found blue sea stars on the beach and I pick one up and felt it and look on all side of it and when I was contented with it I threw it like a ninja star in a way that it had the most amazing fun as it spun and floated through the air and back into the water. I still wonder if it had learned from that moment and created more babies of its kind. I appreciate your time you take to edit your videos and say good things we all need to hear and experience. Presentation shows the time away from the water too.... Thank you so much. Your my favorite diving guy I know of.
@@BlueWorldTVJonathan I think sea stars have tentacles which are linked to a very basic nervous system which is not as complex as sand worms since they do have brains, but their tentacles connected to the nervous system are thought to detect light so I guess that’s how they find their way around
Sea stars are such effective hunters and voracious carnivores. They are effective because their tiny tube feet have small suction mechanisms that can build enough pressure to tear open an urchin shell to suck the nice juicy insides which is the Bat star’s favorite food

Does the Crown of Thorns Sea Star have, like, spikes? As in, are they actually stiff and pricker-y, even without the venom? Because, when I think sea star, I think "squishy".
Not life threateningly dangerous, but let me tell you those spines are sharp and covered in a toxic slime. If you get skewered by one it hurts for about 2 weeks. Ask me how I know!
