Im sending this to the african braider who literally left 2 potential rows of braids in the back of my head undone yesterday cause it was "too short". My friend gripped and braided them with EASE this morning. I wish i could show yall the before and after cause baby i was LIVID
See that's why I say you know someone's a braider when they can braid short hair. An African shop got mad at me bc I had a twa. I used to braid back in the day and I was like Ummmmm ma'am there are methods for this. But they dont know. That's one reason why I dont go. They dont have technique or care about the health of your hair.

I swear to God you just saved me from a major depression about my hair I have locs and I asked for a trim and this woman scalped the front half of all my locs off like off off (my locs are 7 years old) I looked like Marilyn Manson and I have color damage in the back but have been in denial and my friends had to sit me down today to say Nika go to the barbershop. 8 packs just for the top of your head? The asian-run hair industry is ripping us off. They putting next to nothing in one pack these days smh. I've even noticed I can open a bag of crisps and find 15% potato chips and 85% air but price remain the same tho. RIP OFF!!

Well it all depends on the type of hair too.... some brands have 2x more and some are regular packs... but yea the .99cent and 1.99 bags tend to not have as much hair... to this day i still only use 4 packs of expressions for my small Senegalese twists and smalm braids

I quarantine shaved my hair last year and LOVED it. Now I'm trying to grow it out so I can start a new adventure with locs! I think box braids will help me not worry about messing with it so much ☺️

My hair is just a lilltle bit longer than this and when I scheduled an appointment to get my hair done I just wanted regular braids. My hairdresser told me to send her a picture of my hair to see how long it isI sent her the pictures and she said my hair wasn't long enough to get single braids so I had to get a sew in. Then after I get my hair done I stumble across this video. I was a little too mad 🤦♀️😂 but my hair is growing so it's all good

Thats because the person isnt skilled enough to grip the hair, even i know how to grip short hair ever since i did the big chop. It really isnt that hard, there are some good stylist that could easily do your box braids for you.

I myself recently did a big chop off and also got my hair braided this past weekend some of the braids in the back of course are coming out... The Stylist did very well in gripping
because I was trying to avoid shaving the back but it seems like I'm going to have to either edge up the back and Perm It Down cuz I would like to at least grow it out for the next braid Style but that grey hair I am dying to try!
