In this Premiere Pro video editing tutorial, we will use an Adjustment Layer and a few built in effects to create a simple whip pan transition effect. I will also show you how to create the keyframed animation and copy the whole thing and save it as a transition that will automatically adjust to the speed or duration of any transition or Adjustment Layer you choose to use. Enjoy!

Great tutorials man. Really appreciate how you break everything down and explain each step as you go.
Well done! It worked perfectly, and I appreciate the speed at which you explain things. No unnecessary fluff comments 👌🏼 thanks!

Beautiful transition. Definitely helps when you're out in the field and forget to you know actually keep up with your handheld whip transitions

THANK YOU so much! especially the function to save the preset, that is INVALUABLE!
I love you vids!!! They help me so much to edit with sick transitions and so on! Keep up the good work
Awesome! Your way of explaining really lets me follow your steps easily! Enjoying your tuts!
This was a great tutorial! Really easy to follow and so helpful- thanks x
Thanks! Going to try this on my next skateboarding or family video .. and probably all others that come after that if saving that template is really that easy
I learned so much tips from this outside of the actual tutorial. Like reset to parameters. I've been doing it manually this whole time o.O
THAKNS!
Thank you very much for that easy and nice looking transition! The exact thing i was looking for. BIG thumbs up!
Thanks for your sharing your video.
But where do I find the Posterize plug-in?
Super Tutorial! Simple and much better than what i found in other videos! Great Job!
Thank you very much. I am forcing myself to learn how to build transitions from your tutorials. Anyone can find and download free preset packs or buy them but in the end I think this is going to make me a better editor. Great job and thanks for taking the time to upload. New film makers appreciate it!
Thank you for making this so simple! I went through lots of videos and they were just confusing! Also, thanks for the bonus on how to make it a preset! :D
Wow being able to save this as a preset changes the game. Thanks !! Gonna try it on my next upload
Thanks for your detailed and awesome vids, I love them!! I'm having a problem with Premiere where when I drag and drop the offset effect onto the adjustment layer...it simply turns black with specks of color kind of flashing on the entire playback screen? If I do any work it doesn't show up in playback, it is all just the black with specks of color screen. Has this ever happened or do you know what is happening? Thanks!!!
Thanks a lot for this video who helped me with other transitions, especially with the Offset effect!! It will saves me a lot of time!!
Great video man!
Fantastic tutorial. I can't wait to use this in the video projects I'm working on!
Awesome tutorial, exactly what I wanted. Thanks!
Thanks Tutvid, this is awesome
Thanks tutvid!
worked like a charm, including making the presets. Thank you!
Thank you Nathan, after going through all the other vids this was the most helpful one. Good job man, keep up the great work.
when i try to do that it shows me the to parts of my keyframes but with one added to the middle that is a random point in the first chunk to the left the roof is cut of
This is amazing, especially that you can save it. Thank you!
So helpful! Thank you!
So much detail, loved it. Keep making these awesome tutorials :)
Thank you! Just used this, super simple & clear instructions!
Great stuff, thanks!
Dude thank you so much for this tut
Crazy ease! Thanks for the value
Loved it! I'm a beginner and this was so so helpful!
this is an awesome tutorial one thing I want to know that if we add some swoosh sound to this transition than it is possible to make preset with including the sound also
Cheers buddy, this was super helpful!
Thanks for this! I like how its on the adjustment layer so its easily reusable! Great Idea!
Nice! This was a great piece to help me figure out a new transition to try, instead of the boring old stagnant ones. Thanks! I'm gonna have to start checking out all of your other vids to help level up our vids. Cheers!
Fantastic! Thank you!!!
Question: I place the posterize effect on the adjustment layer and it seems as if the entire frame was moved to the left leaving a black bar on the side. Any ideas?
Super helpful thanks so much!
can we make the offset transition goes upwards?
yeah you can play with the other set of numbers besides 960
Yeah under the offset effect, where you have 'shift center To, there's a value on the left and there's one on the right. The one on the left makes the movement go left and right, while the one on the right makes it go up and down. So tweak the on the right
Awesome. Thanks for this. Exactly what I needed.
love it, thanks
Very informative! Thanks 🙏🏾
I was searching for this.... thank you
Why adobe doesn’t provide us some of pre ready cool transitions like this already?
Because Adobe is for professional editors who can create transitions from scratch.
@@coastercreature9695 respect 😂
@Van Slede Design Creating custom transitions that actually fit your project is the mark of professional... you can use whatever template crap you want for your amateur youtube videos, no ones stopping you.
@Van Slede Design I didn't make the program, why would I be butthurt? Someone asked a question, I answered... you are the one who was so pressed about an answer I gave to someone else you couldn't help but comment.
@@coastercreature9695 Well said 🙌
So good, thanks so much! Concise, clear, detailed and useful. Thanks so much!!
when i add posterize to my adjustment layer it completely negates the other effects, why and how do i fix it?
Thank you! great explanation

Tutvid is still the best place for me to look for transition.^_^ thank you so much!
thanks bro!
Hey Dodson, at the top Assembly, Editing, Color, Effect, etc. Any time I click on "Titles" all those selections disappear and its a pain to work around. Any idea whats happening.
Are there any other quick transitions that involve just using the adjustment layer (because they are so easy to use)? Thanks.
For some, this tutorial was all a blur. 😂
Good job though!
Thank you! Very easy tutorial and very awesome transition!
