More than 20 years ago original Samurai Shodown had nicer backgrounds than this. Art direction here looks like a mess honestly: there's no tension here, no mistery, colors look flat and chara design is uninspired at best (what's with all those goofy-looking faces?). This is nowhere near Samurai Shodown quality, this is just SNK milking the brand.
it looks like the combat is good but i agree. the models look drab. i dont like that they are giving 'sexy' characters that show skin. makes it seem less serious because they should be taking much more extra damage. backgrounds are a blur.. the people in them dont even follow the fighters with moving their eyes and heads. music is extremely lacking by comparison to the original.
I find it interesting that the patron of all Samurai was a black man but the new Samurai Shodown video game doesn't have any black characters. Racist much?
Now I know why all the thumbs down. First, you skip cut scenes in a FULL STORY MODE secondly, you suck yet you call yourself a gamer. Hate when gamers call themselves a gamer when they have no game. Just because you chop fish doesn't make you any more a sushi chef than holding a controller makes you a gamer.
no music in this? old original had some awesome music. galford stage and earthquake stage being the most memorable
