    Honestly the Gadget Mobile in the original cartoon is so much cooler then then the live action movies version. An ordinary post van that turns into a 1983 Toyotta Supra Police cruiser is much more badass, as appose to a 1964 Lincoln Continetal that NEVER shuts up.

    I loved my inspector gadget toy when I had it when I was five. One day I was playing outside and at the time I lived in a two story apartment well when my mom came out to check on me, I called out to her to get my big wheel and she dropped my big wheel down from the two story but apparently she didn't see or acknowledge that my inspector mobile was still on the seat where I left it and as she dropped it and the car broke a wheel off. Ahh lol memories, the big wheel was still intact but to this day I never forgot my inspector gadget mobile being broken by my mom, love you mom!

    this video -- would have helped me in a VERY heated argument in 10th grade.
    I had this toy when my family lived in Germany, and no one here in the states would believe me.

Ça me rend nostalgique.

      I had the same when I was a kid, it seemed to me bigger, but when I saw that she was shooting projectiles in the back, I said no doubt it's her. For the time it was a great toy and a very good quality finish. It makes me nostalgic.

    They sold them in Australia in the mid 80s. I had one and the box was the same but in English. As a 5 or 6 year old mine fell apart after a bit. And yeah it was hard transforming from one car mode to the other even when new.

    Thanks for the video! :-) This has to be my favorite toy ever - I always loved the vehicle design of the Gadgetmobile, and this toy perfectly captures both modes AND transforms! But you're wrong about this only being released in France! Back in 2006, I saw one of these on eBay in a _fully English_ box - released in 1983 by Galoob. I could send you the photos if you like!

      Where did you find that? Wow! It must be the Australian English version. But the art of Inspector Gadget is not official, thus I wonder if it's a custom box? Good find either way. Thanks.

    • @Scripture-Man
      @Scripture-Man Před 4 lety

      @@beyondcomicstv It was on eBay in 2006. I can't remember how much for, but it was out of my budget. I kept the photos as I had never seen a toy like it before, and have rarely seen one since. I highly doubt it's a custom box. The box has been professionally screenprinted. And the poor English makes it obvious that it wasn't made by a westerner. The back of the box says:
      © 1983 D.I.C. Enterprises Inc.
      Made in Singapore for Lewis Galoob
      South San Francisco, CA
      Also note that the "G"s on the wheels feature red paint, so this wasn't just a "custom box" but clearly a different production batch. In all other respects, the toy seems identical, including the picture of Penny and Brain in the back, and the "DIC 1983…" inscription on the base of the car.

      It does look like an Areostar, but I've never seen any real-life vehicle that has an angled windscreen that extends overhead, like the Gadgetmobile. I wish they existed in real life as it would be great to see the sky while you're driving! :) I hate how claustrophobic cars are!
