LIFE ON THE LINE is a riveting action thriller and family drama centered on Beau (John Travolta), his beloved niece Bailey (Kate Bosworth) and the hardworking men who risk their lives to work “on the line” and keep the electric grid running. These unsung heroes brave raging storms and dangerously dizzying heights in their dedication to keeping the populace safe. Toiling hundreds of feet in the air on wires carrying as much as 500,000 volts of electricity, tragedy is often inches away. Haunted by the electrocution death of his brother, Beau is devoted to Bailey and determined to see her go off to college and away from the life of linemen. I’m a line truck mechanic working along side these guys often on job sites and it’s a dangerous job. Words can’t describe the feeling of being that close to the end. But safety is number 1 and you have to love it or you ll never make it.

My uncle Mark was a lineman. He just died suddenly of a heart attack, he was loved by all his fellow lineman and the local community. He will be missed by all. Love ya Marky 😔😭😭❤️
My husband's uncle Mark was a lineman, he is still around and retired now, despite having some major health etc.. he is one of the lucky one's to still be around, even after a serious Tornado that happened in his neighborhood last year, and one of his son's is training for a position of lineman. Many thanks and prayers for these brave souls, who go to great lengths to " make and help keep, all our lives a little brighter!!"
I just watched the movie for the first time. Salute to All the men and women who put their life on the line. Prayers to the families who lost a love one. My father was an Election. It scared me so much when he had to go out when we got hit with bad weather or a storm. Only a few times he had to go to another state when it was a natural disaster. That was the worst. He lost his best friend when they got called out one winter. He was gone for a couple of weeks. His friend took my Dad's place wen up the power pole during the storm unaware that there was still a live or Hot wire until it was to late. My Dad left Duke Energy and started his own company. Watching that movie made me think how bless we were to have my Dad come that night. I still lost my Dad years later . At the age of 47 . He passed away from a brain aneurysm but not that night of the storm.
my grandfather passed away on Sunday, he work on the lines for 38 years. RIP grandpa!
Brandon Noel so did my grandfather work for the Kentucky utility's for 40 year he also passed away on a Sunday an you know there's not a day that goes bye I don't miss him we all owe those men a great gratitude for keeping the light's on through the rain an snow an blistering Heat God bless the lineman

Lost power this morning, probably from a storm coming through Southern Texas. I was wondering how they got the power back up so quickly, and coincidentally this movie was on my recommended when I got home. Thank you to all the men and women who risk their lives for this.

My fiance lost he cousin on 1-16-17 on the job. He was working on a line and he got electrocuted. I got mad respect to all linemen. They all know the risk. And they still show up to work so we can all have power.

This song is one of the inspirational songs that i had heard.
I was so very proud of my son for becoming a lineman. I didn't realize. I just didn't realize. I am still proud but this movie really gave me a reality check. His college graduating class all received a shirt that says, "I am my brother's keeper." My son is in distribution. I learned the difference between that and transmission from watching this movie. God bless and thank you to every single person that puts their LIFE ON THE LINE.

My uncle, Roger Durr, was a lineman who lost his life back in 1988. Not a day goes by that my Mom and my other Aunts and Uncles don't miss him. There are so many people who put their lives on the line, not just linemen but others as well. I myself am a Volunteer Firefighter. God Bless and Protect those who Walk the Line, be they Linemen, Police, Military, Firefighters, First Responders, regardless of Nationality or Beliefs.

I can't hardly watch this movie, too much like Backdraft & Ladder 49. Those boys absolutely crushed it after Ian tore up Ft. Myers & Port Charlotte. Initial estimates were 6 months to restore all the power. Hold my beer, those guys did it in less than a month! WOW 😲
My brother and I work for a power utility company, I work in the call centre department and he works as a lines man. After watching the movie I called him to tell him I love him.
