It wasn’t a recent video, as I said in the video, I revisited it after not trying it for a long time and didn’t like it 🤷🏼♀️ it’s crazy how that can happen with perfumes, you can love something and then hate it, or vice versa you can hate something, revisit it and love it
@@eauderica It’s funny - your latest impression of Bon Viveur is bang on how I feel about it. For me, it smells like TCP (an antiseptic in the UK), so I totally get your comparison to an old people’s (nursing) home - it has that vibe about it. I don’t hate it (for the most part, it’s a nice fragrance) but I’ve only worn it once or twice. What gives it the nursing home vibe, I think, is the clove note - which I’d imagine can be a love or hate note for many. Certainly, it’s not the fresh fragrance it was billed to be (the so called watermelon note in it is imperceptible).
Would love to see 'smells like a nursing home' and 'dental floss' added as smelling notes to Fragrantica 😂

Jam. I think the more and more I get into perfumes, the less I find myself liking vintage styles, there are a few I love, but this is not one of them! I appreciate you

dont worry what girls think they just dont like it because they associate it with their grandpa or something but a great scent is a great scent regardless of what women say. if my women didn't like it, I'd tell her to get used to liking it because no way am I gonna stop wearing barbershop fragrances as they are my favorite by far and I won't give that up for a girl

I was on board til the Creed Viking dis. Love Viking. I am 55 though 😂
Viking isn't for everyone so I get the dislike. It's for men that are fan of old school scents. Me personally like it because it is what it is without smelling like your granpa like Bois du Portugal and Royal Water does. Herbs used in those last 2 gives off that old people aroma. Viking doesn't have that so i feel confident wearing it.
BdP smells like a grandpa for sure. Viking is different though, smells like a gentleman or a more modern, younger grandpa 😊😆. I couldn't wear any of those. My most formal fragrance is TF Grey Vetiver.
I couldn't agree more with Viking. I find nothing in that fragrance that I like. Nice video!
I'm fairly new into my fragrance journey lol and so far I've liked everything that I've tried. Some of my favorites are Jazz Club, Mancera Red Tobacco, PDM Layton Exclusif, Versace Dylan Blue, Givenchy Gentleman Reserve Privee (makes me feel even more confident, attractive, and masculine when dressed formally 💪🏻), and a few others.
I can't wait to try out that 15ml sample of Via Coveur from Xerjoff and get my gf's flood gates open again. 😂❤

I think the dental office/nursing home sounds like a mixture of eugenol (cloves) mixed with liniment, which is something rubbed on muscles.... its used by soccer teams as well.... it stinks. Eugenol (clove oil) is quite widely used in perfumery... I have not had the 'pleasure' or otherwise of smelling any of Dan's releases so could not comment on any of them. Blue Jeans is something I have a bottle of but do not wear... lol
Haltane is a very sexy scent. It has an effect on me for sure when I smell it on a man. Have you smelled Beat Cafe by Jusbox? That is another sexy scent in my opinion. We are in the process of growing my husband's collection so I appreciate your reviews on both mens, womens, and unisex fragrances.
I have found out that Bon Viveur has loads of Eugenol in it..... that is why you are getting the dentist office vibe....

Idk why but Givenchy gentleman boisee didn't connect with my nose. I sampled it and it's still full after 1 year

I love your honesty! So many reviews of fragrances these days are “positive”, so it’s kind of refreshing to hear someone say they don’t like something! It’s also more TRUTHFUL..obviously there are going to be fragrances out there that you dislike, so let’s hear about them! I hope that you continue keeping it real!

Ive been interested in fragrances for 5+years now and my collection and appreciation for fragrance is certainly developing.
My other favs are stronger with you Absolutely and intensely. looking forward to getting a few from Tom Ford including Rose de Russie and ombre leather. Im trying to build a very diverse collection.
My favourite line has been Acqua Di Gio which i have 7.

Extremely let down by LB Summer Vibes as well. I mean, their previous summer flankers were Sun, Italian Love, and Forever, 3 releases that are very bright and citrus heavy, so I expected something that would challenge the recently-popular LV Afternoon Swim or L'Immensite, where the top would be very bright, airy and citrusy, but with a really riche and smooth dry down. Essentially, something in line with Bulgari Tygar. But nope, nothing even close to that, and really a huge step backward for the LB line, IMO. Ah, well.

Holysm isn't THAT bad, but it's not great either. Fairly typical fougere profile, in the realm of Apex and Green Irish Tweed. Agree re: the herbal-medicinal opening giving some cough syrup vibes.

I despise CK Eternity with all of my soul. I wore it in the 90s in my early college days, but today at 46 , it just smells to me like a 90s douchebag, like myself LOL... if that makes any sense :D It just so outdated! it gave me a headache when I tried it at the perfume shop a few weeks back.. I cant stand it anymore. Same as JPG Le Male, its so outdated and it smells like a 90s ghey guy lol. hard pass!

I am of the opinion that Creed fragrances are overrated. I think Royal Oud is one of the most overwhelmingly overrated frags out.

To be Honest I don’t like much of Anything from that D&G summer line , tried forever, light blue , eau intense , they go Far to Green for me and extremely Musky.

Well Dennis, that depends on who has got the biggest collection of high end niche fragrance bottles there is. As of recently, she's trying to hook up with someone who works for Xerjoff, just so that she could get that sweet sweet slice of pie in the shape of Xerjoff bottles only to read out the notes off Fragrantica website in front of a camera once again. Unless you have a fragrance collection that could rival Osmothèque, stay your dick away from her.

@@eauderica I like it a lot. I think I go nose blind to it because I’m not getting the longevity I was hoping for. To be fair, I haven’t worn it outside of the house so I need to try it in the real world. Even if I never get a complaint while wearing it, I like that’s it’s different and not many people talk about it. Additionally, I love watching your channel and listening to how passionate you are about this fragrance. Again, you are the soul reason I bought it and I’m not regretting it at all. Lol

Lol. Very, very, very bad take on Creed Viking. It's the best of that lot covered in this video. But it's all subjective, right? It's funny how the scent appreciation of kids gravitate immediately to a candy store.
