    Hiii!!! Loved your video. Was wondering about your take on room 10552? Thanks much !!

      @ShannonFord  Před 6 hodinami

      A little further forward than I prefer, but it’s close to an elevator, so I would say it’s pretty good.

    Deck 12 and 14 are noisy? I’m afraid to book close to elevators what do you think?

    • @ShannonFord
      @ShannonFord  Před 2 měsíci

      Just below a public deck can be loud. I’ve never had an issue, but I have heard this from some. However, being close to the elevators is not. It’s not like a hotel, the elevators will still be at the very least around the corner.

    I just booked Boardwalk balcony stateroom #12729. It’s the last room on deck 12 at the aft end of the ship, with a view of the ocean and aqua theater. I took your recommendation and stayed away from the lower levels and zip line.

    • @ShannonFord
      @ShannonFord  Před rokem +1

      That’s great. It’s a long walk but to be able to watch the dive show from your balcony will be cool. I do recommend going and watching from the audience the first time. But after that, watching it from your balcony gives a different perspective

    Hi Shannon! If I chose the interior guarantee for my family of four, will the ship pick a room that has a bunkbed or some sort of sleeping arrangement for my 2 kids? Or is there a chance we get just one bed for the four of us? Sorry if this is a dumb question. I have no idea what I am doing and trying to plan our first cruise without breaking the bank

    • @ShannonFord
      @ShannonFord  Před rokem

    8606 is available for my sailing. I like the idea of a little extra balcony space but am I better off with a room closer to the elevator?

    • @ShannonFord
      @ShannonFord  Před 11 měsíci

      Personally I would always choose close to an elevator rather than a bigger balcony. However everyone is different

    • @petercoldwell1577
      @petercoldwell1577 Před 2 lety +3

      A completely different experience, the two are not comparable; each has its own attributes and intrinsic value. Having enjoyed both, there are times when the intimacy of a pvt yacht is preferred and visa versa. Overall, as I am less tolerant of crowds these days, the yacht is generally preferred.

    • @jojojack4975
      @jojojack4975 Před 2 lety +1

      Thanks for your opinion. They are two different types of ships. One
      definitely is not as well acclamated for the open seas as the other. We also like the serenity of the private yacht.

    Where should you book on the ship if you are prone to motion sickness? Interior?

    • @ShannonFord

      Lower decks. Mid-ship. Interior is fine but not necessary

    • @ShannonFord
      @ShannonFord  Před rokem

      On a ship with a promenade. One of the promenade rooms on the lowest deck would be good. It would give you an interior view and would be midship

    Does anyone have information about room 6728?

    • @ShannonFord
      @ShannonFord  Před rokem

      No personal experience, but looking at the deck plan, it's a standard balcony at the end. Just be prepared to walk a lot. We had a Boardwalk Balcony once in a similar location (end of the row) and it was a hike to get to the closest elevator. It wasn't awful, but I wouldn't select that area again.

  • @Fayegina
    @Fayegina Před 7 měsíci

    Not to sound mean but who really cares how big a balcony is and a room. You got a huge ship to go explore which you probably can’t even explore the whole ship in a week. I’m going in March don’t know which room just know it’s a balcony. Don’t plan on sitting in my room or balcony for more than I have to.

    • @ShannonFord
      @ShannonFord  Před 7 měsíci

      We don't care about balcony size, though a lot of people do. Cabin size though is different, especially with a child. Having even 20 extra square feet can feel like a lot in a small stateroom. Everyone is different.
