Friends and players from other teams often want to know if the Klopp they see is the same man once the spotlight is off. “Everyone asks me how he is as a person. ‘Is it fake what he does on the sidelines?’ No, that is how he is. Even in training he is the same. That’s how he is.”

There probably hasn’t been a better man-manager than Jürgen since Fergie. Absolutely dedicated to getting the best out of their players. You look back at times where Fergie was playing arguably not-so-talented players and still getting them beating Chelsea and Liverpool at the peak of their powers.
You couldn’t say that O’Shea, Brown, Fletcher were anywhere near world class. And I reckon you could say the same about Origi, Wijnaldum, Matip, and yet they’re all champions league winners and pivotal to their clubs success because of the backing of the manager.

At the end of Chelsea the mutual respect between players and coach dwindled away. At ManU he began making poorly disguised insults about his own players to the media.
Klopp would never ever do such a thing. If the press tried to bait Fergie, Fergie would defend the player and then start cussing out the journalist. Jurgen and Alex knew that maintaining respect was paramount (and respect does not always mean nice).

Really interesting insight into Klopp's man-management. One thing that strikes me about Klopp is his ability to intuitively read his players personalities and what makes them tick.. and he's able to harness it into a wider collective, ensuring the squad chemistry is spot on. With Pep you get the sense that his sheer brilliance from a technical and tactical perspective ensures the players don't step out of line but his players don't have that same personal connection with him whereas Klopp reminds me of Fergie in this respect.. players will run through walls for him.

Klopp is actually awesome as a leader, every CEO, manager, teacher, coach etc. should learn from him. It’s the hardest thing to criticize and yet motivate people and get the best out of them, while they still feel good. I mean everybody wants satisfaction and feel good at his/her job. So if you get praise and support and trust your leader, you will almost certainly work hard and do your best.
It’s so hard to be professional and not take things personally. Like Gini Wijnaldum said in another interview he was mad at Klopp and disappointed when he wasn‘t in the starting formation against Barcelona. In the end, he scored two important goals and was happy.

The best trait of Jurgen Klopp is that his players will always give it 100%. You can see that the Liverpool players truly love him. After the CL semi final vs Barca you can see pure and true emotion that the players had for him as their manager. Then when they won the final it's as if they won it not just for themselves but for Klopp too. Klopp is a manager who will NEVER lose the dressing room and that is the key to his success.

Just watching how Klopp turned Dortmund and Liverpool into something bigger, and the change he’s had on players like Salah and apparantly Wijnaldum (I’m sure he had some change on Coutinho, Firmino, Lewandowski, and Reus) tells me so much about his approach with the team. I wish I got know him myself.
