What's your favourite Irish or trad song, you'd like to see me cover or revisit?
Stay very handsome!
I'd love to hear your version of I'm a rover or All for me grog. Stay handsome and have a good day 😎
Not really an Irish trad song but could u please do a rock cover of drunken sailor
(in the style of the Bernie Sanders meme) I am once again requesting Johnny Come Down to Hilo or Oak, and Ash, and Thorns, both by The Longest Johns 🧡
Rocky Road to Dublin was always a favorite of mine, but your Ramblin' Rover is actually overtaking it!
I'm not sure if it counts but I would love to here your interpretation of Graine Mhwail (sorry if I spelled that wrong) or the story of Cu Chulainn both by miracle of sound
the way I clicked so fast because your original cover is already one of my favorites. this one slaps so hard, mate!! I will happily continue to absolutely devour any and all folk rock/metal covers you put out
Literally, word for word, this is just what I was going to say.
Yes, yes and yes! I absolutely agree and couldn't say it any better.
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🐦❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Pov I find out I'm 1% Irish
I love thinking about dad coming home plastered, dragging an amp out to the front lawn, plugging in the electric guitar and SLAPPING the neighbors! 🤘🎸
As someone with some very . . . opinionated, English family members, this is quickly becoming one of my favorite songs. 😁
bro, just read the lyrics. @@ianardo127
@@ianardo127They were British World War I veterans recruited to quell Irish rebellion efforts, the Royal Irish Constabulary. The colloquial name "Black and Tans" comes from their uniform colours.
@@ianardo127 State-sponsored war criminals.
@@ianardo127Older stuff..? It's only been going on for 800+ years mate.
@@ianardo127I think they mean that the English had been oppressing the Irish for a long long time. Ever since the famine.
Just love the orange and green lighting! Also I liked the fact that you didn't go too heavy the tone you chose fits the song perfectly 💚🧡
Yeah no screaming on this one! 😂
@@ColmRMcGuinness Much appreciated.
@@ColmRMcGuinness isn't there fry scream layers in some sections in the background?
Found it 1:35
@@parrotanimations4263 True, but it's buried enough in there, haha
And his ginger self fills in the white.
Now, we need a celtic rock version of Humours Of Whiskey.
YES!!!! I FULLY AGREE!!!
Absolutely 🤘🔥
In case you don't know by now he's got one out now
This has to be one of my favorite Irish songs of all time. Absolutely awesome! Erinn go Bragh!
YES! Everything needs a Colm Celtic Rock version!!
Heh, bloody hell, man. I discovered you some odd six months ago, and ever since that day, your original cover of this one has always been my absolute favourite. but, to see you revisit it, in a CELTIC ROCK VERSION, no less. well, let me tell you, *that* is truly something special. good on ya, colm. keep up the good work.
That's the version of this song I really needed. This will be my new programming music!
Programming to this? I admire that. You must have a powerful focus.
@@jamesmountforge7523 or.. could be that he is really good at programming. in my case, I use this kinda music while solving math. I'm really good at it. I do the 4 operations just too quick.. and try to match the beats of music while I write them down. Vibing to music along with math is really cool.
I know this is an old comment but feel the same. I write my best code when listening to rock or heavier music.
Aight, this is easily the best rendition of this song I have ever heard. It's important to preserve traditional music, but that doesn't mean people can't put their own spin on it. Well done. Makes me wonder what Oró, Sé Do Bheatha 'Bhaile would sound like.
It's like a Fairy Tail combat theme. Love it!
This channel can truly, NEVER disappoint.
As a person of Irish-Germanic heritage, I ought to say this amazing!
I was just listening to your other version of this song not 5 minutes before this was posted. Brilliant! Keep making music and never stop innovating!
This song lends its self so well to rock. Keep the music coming! Favorite ballad I’d love to hear you cover is “Her Mantle so Green” I’m not sure that it’s Irish in origin though. Sinead O’Connor sang it years ago.
This makes me so proud to be Irish. And I was born in Texas. 🎉
everyone's talking about the song itself (because it's a wonderful song and you've done it beautifully) but the bass in your voice is all i can think about, that's a wonderful set of pipes you've got there Mr. McGuinness!!
Genius version 🇮🇪
Exactly what I fucking wanted, it takes the passion from the wolfe tones, he has the proper Irish voice to sing it as it should be sang, it's fucking metal!! Yes, give me more. The Men Behind The Wire, next. :)
Wow there is some *serious* energy in this rendition - it really captures the rebellious spirit of the song! I'd have loved to see the instrument tracks take just a little more of a background spot so the vocals sat front and center. It's a brilliant cover, though!
Man, I loved your earlier version of this song, and I love this one as well. Keep up the great work!
Loved your original version of this and this one ROCKS, too!!! =P
I could feel the anger and hatred of the IRA for the British army in this one. I can imagine an angry Irish man shouting this fearlessly at a disgruntled British soldier. The fury, wrath, and determination of the Irish could be felt in this one :)
Brilliant! I love your music!
Damn the Queen Elizabeth bossfight got a banging soundtrack.
it's funny because earlier i was checking spotify to see if a new celtic rock cover had come out
Been waiting for this one and it's better than I imagined it !! Colm you're a legend 🤘
Beautiful ❤️ I love how much emphasis you put in the verses
Hell yes, this is a great cover! That underlay of shred of so satisfying for this song. Also, really good to see you showing what you can do with the guitar. Thanks!
Loved this, so hype its going on my workout list. Thank you sir.
Love how you're still full on rocking out in the jumper. This rock/metal spree has been amazing and everything I ever wanted
I loved the original one Colm did for Come Out Ye Black and Tans and was all setup to hear it on a playlist when this kickin' guitar lick kicked it. My eyes went wide and my heart raced in pure thrill. This is excellent!!!
Dear god. I was just looking for your other version of black n tans and what a start to my weekend😊❤❤❤
This is hands down my favorite irish songs out there, its so cool to hear a different version thats not the traditional pace and instruments!!
I didn't think it could get any better, but you did it
Ok… I absolutely love your previous version of this… but this is fantastic 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
NOW THATS WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT MY MAN!
YES! Been waiting for this
Another banger from Colm.
This is frigging phenomenal! I remember as a young Kid in Glasgow singing this!!
Delightful! I now love BOTH of your covers of this song!

Love it!
This is fantastic Colm!
Perfect "getting home from work" surprise!
I love these rock versions of these songs so much. I love the originals don't get me wrong, I just have a soft spot for rock and metal. To me it adds an extra *umph* to the songs. Keep up the awesome tracks Colm!

Colm never disappoints with his music. Absolute bangers left and right
I've been listening to your music for two years, I thought nothing could surprise me, I stand corrected
Finally, Irelands boss music

Your rock versions are the best.
Man this is my absolute favorite version of this song now
What a great song!
Hell yesss
This and The Foggy Dew are my favorites by you.
This song giving me vibes like this:
You fought in Flanders with germans during Great War. They have tanks and chemical weapons but you still won. We doesn't have neither if those but you were running away from us. Now we coming back to Northern Ireland and we have BOTH OF THOSE
Ooh a remake. This is exciting
I love it!
❤yeah👊
I love how this whole thing is just an extra crispy roast😂
You did it again Colm. And great guitar 🤌
Absolutely loved this 🔥
✨🍀✨ Как же мне нравится Ваш голос!
I feel like this would be an awesome movie score or something!
Well this version aged like whiskey is an oak barrel. Well done.
Now we need a cover of My little armalite
The celtic blood I have is Scottish, but I will still crank this up until my tinnitus gets tinnitus
OH HELLLLL YEAH I'M READY TO ROCK
Love it.
Amazing best version I’ve heard
Sweet mary. This is beautiful
This music makes the Irish blood coarse through my veins even harder than it already does!
There is something fascinating about Colms mouth and its movements when he's singing
I JUST noticed, after my hundredth play… THE LIGHTING. 🇮🇪
I LOVE THIS SONG THIS SO COOL ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥THIS SO FIRE
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥THIS SO VERY FIRE
Colm: makes a whistle on the guitar
Me: AAAAHH😵❤️
This rocks
Found out about you through sea shanty album of Jonathan Young and loved your "Don't Trad On Me" album to listen and sing. Today CZcams recommended this version of "Come Out Ye Black And Tans".....
Gotta be honest, this slapped me so hard, I listened 5 times in a row and never sit down. It was my best time for about a year or two, I think. Thank you so very much foe what you do. \m/
(sorry for mistakes, not a native speaker)
