Dealing with Claustrophobia & Anxiety for BJJ & Grappling

  • I have had a number of people ask for tips for dealing with both claustrophobia & anxiety in BJJ. This video is a bit longer than my previous videos I have posted & I hope I don't ramble on too much for you but I hope this helps someone.     Great video Andy, I had a few moments of anxiety when I did BJJ. I had to always remember move my hips. Also I still envy some of the guys with longer legs

    Thanks for the video, im purple and still struggle with claustrophobia under mount and because of this, anxiety before rolling :) i still have hopes it get away one day but i love bjj enough to keep going at it 😂

    Good Points. Personally any claustrophobic feeling comes from exhaustion while rolling, lack of flexibility and anxiety from wanting to win every position. Comfort within positions will come. Keep up the good work Andy!

    All depends who is applying the pressure . High level pressure passer will make you tap from pressure . Breathing and relaxating ain't gonna help . The best is to improve your guard lol
