Thank you, my dilemma was the wiring to positive and negative. I seen you connected to grey of the license plate bulb wire Which i assumed it was ground and i did the same thing :) Camera is working. Thank you

Works perfectly with my camry. Tried using those splicers earlier, but didnt work. This works well. I was concerned that the connector clip wont lock because of the extra wires that were jammed into it, but it did work fine.
I think i am ready to take on harder projects like replacing the stereo system with the Android Auto unit

I dont know anything about Camrys or cars for that matter, Im wondering if its possible to install a backup camera on my 93 Camry. I realize it might not be possible but technology & the capabilities it can provide are rapidly growing & expanding on a daily basis.

this one is not going to work on a JBL system, the seller told me that you can find units that are for JBL units on aliexpress

I got the same system from aliexpress ,I connect all the wires the same way you did.steering wheel control didn't work,I think need a program, the most important is the camera didn't work at all. please i need help

Did your rca cable have a red wire coming out of it? Mine does not, but most videos I can find show this red wire coming out of the rca cable.

@TheButtons So did you connect one end of the red wire that's on the yellow rca cable to the back of the head unit where it says reverse or backup and the rear end red wire of the rca cable to reverse power as well?
Because I didn't see you do that as I only seen you connect the power and earth from the camera but not the rear end wire that's on the rca.

How do you connect the red wire to the radio?
you connect it to the reverse(back up) cable that comes from back of the unit
My 07 camry has the same joying radio with the similar camera did the wires like you said doesn’t work any ideas

bob jajo hi Bob, contact the seller from aliexpress, they will gladly help you in fixing this, it should be an app called, steering or Wheel control
About the camera, also , check with them, and make sure it's connected to the right cables in the back if the radio. I had the same problem and the seller told me how to wire correctly my unit.

hey i tried this and now my car wont start, I connected the red matching the red then i started the car and it kind of struggled to start but it did and no parking guides, so i tried a different hole then went and try to start the car again and now it won't start at all, do you know if I shortened a fuse or something?
Hi, this has nothing to do with starting your car, no way possible that the bulb has some connection to starting your car, if your bulb burns you can still use your car. Please check your battery, because what you described here is impossible.
@@TheButtons ok I'll check the battery tomorrow but yea that's what happened, my car has never had an issue starting or any issues at all, this occurred right when I plugged the red cable from the camera into one of the connectors you showed on the video, I'm thinking I did it wrong and it caused a circuit, even my radio wasn't lighting up and my headlights were struggling as well, and dashboard lights is a mess to, car won't even crank when I try to start the engine, I'll try jump starting the car tomorrow hopefully it helps
If the car doesn’t crank at all, the battery or the starter dead. If the battery died, i would also check the alternator.
On my Camry the alternator died instantly, as I was driving I felt that something strange is going on with my dashboard and engine sounds strange, pulled over in front of a auto parts store, and change it real quick.
