  • In September 2019 I met up with members of The Fat Boys On Tour walking group in the Yorkshire Dales. Ingleborough is one of the Yorkshire three Peaks, the other two are Whernside and Pen-y-ghent. The plan was to walk all the Yorkshire three peaks over three days, but due to Graham having an ongoing issue with an ankle injury and the worsening weather we abandoned the plans for the remaining three peaks. The walk up to Ingleborough was a great day and a good opportunity to catch up with friends. Present on the walk, along with myself was Graham Saunders, Dave Galloway, Nick Holmes, Mary Ashbridge and Derek Ashbridge. Credit must go to Graham for completing this walk as he was in a lot of discomfort throughout the walk due to his ankle injury.

      Hi Julie, This was a really good walk with great views. Pleased you had the good weather and the views when you did it. I have done all three Yorkshire Peaks, but like yourself , not all on the same day! I am off walking in the Cheviots this morning ( Sat) with the same group of people. Thanks again for watching, it is appreciated. Take care. Cheers. Eddie.

    My wife and I stayed at Philpin Farm, near your car park. We climbed the Whernside, clockwise 😉 It was beautifull. Specially the viaduct. Regards from The Netherlands.

    What a fantastic area to be hiking in, the views looked stunning in every direction! A shame you all didn't get to do all three as planned, but they'll be there for another time. I've had the pleasure of meeting Mary, it was nice to see her again in your film. Have a great Christmas 🎄🎄🎄

    Looked a great day Eddie and I was gutted to have to miss this, with it being just before or just after my operation. Good to see Derek and young Mary out with yous as well, dam shame I missed you all. I know the lads have had bad luck with a multitude of things this year, so it was good to see them get a real nice say with brilliant views all around, cheers Alan

    Good morning. Never been the first to comment on anything before! A lovely video to wake up to - a perfect blend of voice, music and glorious landscape as always. Thank you!And from here on the edge of the Peak District I wish you and your family a happy, peaceful Christmas and a healthy and prosperous New Year 2020. (And a bit less rain would be a help too, especially for your endeavours!)

    Hi Eddie, great video of our Ingleborough walk, really enjoyable day with good company, just a shame Carol wasn't there. Hope her wrist is on the mend. Merry Christmas to you both and all the very best for 2020. Mary & Derek

      Thanks Mary. It was a great day. Carol's wrist seems to be on the mend, hopefully we can get over to the Lakes soon. We will try and pick a fairly easy walk for Carol's first time back on the fells after her fall. Merry Christmas to you and Derek and Best Wishes for 2020. Hope to catch up with you both sometime during 2020. Thanks again for watching & commenting. Cheers. Eddie & Carol

    I highly recommend the walk up to Ingleburough from Clapham.
    Very scenic and by the looks of it, with much smoother ascents.

    2.52 that bit of a climb up the steep bit is a killer when doing the 3 peaks Eddie, 19 miles into the walk and you have to climb that, great camera work as always.

      @eddiecaisley5746  Před 4 lety

      Thanks Mark. After doing Ingleborough on it's own, I now realise how tough the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge really is! As you say climbing up that steep path to Ingleborough after already doing 19 miles would be a killer! Thanks again for watching & commenting. Cheers. Eddie.

    We are hoping to climb Whernside maybe Ingleborough too once lockdown is over, but we did managed Pen-y-ghent in between lockdowns last year. Looks like you had good weather for your filming. Lovely music soundtracks too.

I think we re all looking forward to getting back out again once restrictions ease. Thanks for watching & commenting, it is appreciated ( Thanks for the sub, I have done likewise) Take care. Cheers. Thanks for the video, it brought back a lot of memories. Do you use a gimbal or a GoPro with stabilisation, because the footage is very stable

      @eddiecaisley5746  Před 4 lety +1

      Thanks. I used a GoPro Hero 6 for this video. It has built in stabilisation. I have recently started to use the Hero 8, but to be honest I think I prefer the 6. Pleased the video brought back some memories for you. Thanks for watching and commenting, it is appreciated. Cheers. Eddie.
