    My goal was to learn how to create halftone to show my high school students in Brooklyn. I learned how to teach them screen filler/drawing fluid method but I wanted to go on to more detailed images for T-shirts. I watched a bunch of videos but your was so simple and I think my students will relate more than the fancy videos out there that don't make no sense at all. RIP? Illustrator? WTF? I love that you are doing it in your basement or garage and that no mistakes slow you down and it's great that you show your true self. Props amigo! I'm gonna make my film positive and burn the screen then try to print. Thanks! Ill try and share it.

    Good job Antonio. I have many family members with the same name. Anyways, the formula for the LPI/Frequency is the Mesh Count divided by 5. So, if you're using a 305 mesh count frame, divide by 5 or about a Frequency of 61. The Angle is self explanatory. 22 degrees would be 22 degrees of a 360 degrees circle. So the dots, diamonds or lines would be at a slight angle of 22 degrees, not straight up and down. Again, great video.

    Great stuff! I have not tried half tone print yet. I’m still trying to figure out the emulsion part. I use Chroma Blue which is very thin. If you dry at an uneven surface the emulsion goes to that side. But I figured out today to put the emulsion and then scoop out the excess to make a thinner coat. Worked like a charm. If you ever pass through El Paso,Tx. Hit me up. I’m thinking of starting a channel soon.

    Have you done a Q&A video? lol I have lots of questions you might have already answered: 1. What was that film? 2. Do you take your own film to Office Depot? Do they print with a laser or inkjet? How much do they charge? Seems like you can do a whole video on that process. Nice way to get into this game cheap without committing to an expensive printer for transparencies!

      @TheInkBuildUp  Před 4 lety +2

      Hello Amigo. Haven't done a Q&A, but the questions you just ask is basically the video I'm about to do. But I will still answer. The paper I used is call "Albanene" it's also known as tracing paper, vegetable paper, and onion. And this paper I go to office Depot where they print on laser since if you use inkjet, the paper gets wet and gets ruined. As for the price they charge me, it's like a few cents. Can't remember exactly. But I will make a video about it. Oh here's a video where I talk about the paper. czcams.com/video/yH80Ysneeyc/video.html

      No, this is "Albanene Paper" which is known as tracing paper, onion paper, or vegetable paper.

    Great content, just goes to show you don't need real expensive equipment to achieve your goals. Just a word of caution on adding too much reducer, you compromise the opaqueness of your ink that's why it wasn't super bright. Otherwise, great job!

      Thanks, yea, I thought at the beginning that I needed good equipment but realized you don't, but it does help. and I'll keep that in mind. I don't like adding that much reducer but these Sanchez inks are real thick. Trying to get a hold of some better quality ink.
