Program notes:
I arranged "The Merry Widow" Selections for Saxophone Quartet in 2010. This is a saxophone version of my own "The Merry Widow" arrangement for band. Here I included the waltz and detailed decorative passages. Originally being an operetta, give lively attention to present accents and staccatos warmly. Basic instrumentation is two Altos, Tenor and Baritone Saxophones, however, an optional soprano saxophone part is also included. Besides H where I made another counter-melody for soprano, soprano and alto are basically the same part. Play this as a quartet, not a quintet.
