Hay Harvesting and Commencing Sawmill Operations | Fichthal V2 Farm | Farming simulator 22 | ep #03

Welcome back to the Fichthal V2 Farm Timelapse. Initially, our primary focus is hay production. At the first stage, our preparations involve readying our tractors to efficiently mow and dry the grass. To accomplish this, we rely on KUHN equipment, including a mower and a tedder. As of now, we have just one grass field, but we're in the process of acquiring another to expand our operations.
Once the grass is mowed and properly dried, we proceed to rake it and create hay bales. These bales are then loaded onto a trailer for transportation to our barn, where they are stored. Along the way, we seize the opportunity to load straw bales into the thermal power plant's bunker, which serves as an additional income source for us.
On our property, we also have a small sawmill, which has been inactive due to a shortage of raw materials. To address this, we're embarking on a logging venture. Given our limited budget, we're acquiring cost-effective logging equipment and heading to a nearby area where suitable trees are available for our needs.
Our logging process begins by manually felling the trees with a chainsaw. Subsequently, we remove branches and cut the trees into manageable logs. Loading the logs is facilitated by a FENDT FAVORIT 511C tractor equipped with a front loader, while a Timber Carrier, hitched to a FENDT 714 VARIO tractor, is responsible for their transportation.
Once the logs are loaded, we transport them to the sawmill and finally put the sawmill into operation.
