Can we all show Eminem some love for being clean and sober for over 13 years?
🖤🙌🖤🙌🖤
Yes
14 years in April 💪
@@Riley_187 Hells yes! Such an incredible accomplishments!
I'm not the biggest rap fan, but eminem is just on another level, his writing, his flow, everything's so good about him, I really hope you'll dive into his discography (or at least his most popular songs) 🤍
He heard all his popular songs lol...
@@Milkers777 Well he just mentioned lose yourself and the ft with Rihanna, idk if he listened to the real slim shady, without me, mockingbird, rap God, Godzilla, stan ect...
@@Annehrn yeah bro there are a lot of legendary songs produced by Em : when I'm gone ; lose yourself ; venom; business ; the real slim shady ......all of them are absoulutely insane 😱
When I listened to his first album, Not my usual fate, I said "they are going to be teaching this guy as poetry in colleges one day". Few in my circle shared my opinion but now look.
He was using prescription pills up to about 90 a day. He had a near overdose and that is when he knew he needed to get his crap together mentally and for his family. He is great friends with Elton John he helped him through that dark place. He has been clean for about 13 years now.
Yea he literally almost died...
Yup, he was 2 hours away from death when he got to the hospital..
i think you would really enjoy “mockingbird” it’s definitely one of his best.
eminem is a Legend , the lyrics he comes up with no one could even think about , pure art
Pure art, yep 👍
do u believe in jesus as personal saviour ? (god was in christ, reconling the wolrd unto himself, not imputhing their sins) , trust him as saviour, because he died for all you sins, too & rose again for you & by faith u receive forgivness/eternal life
Love it, he is a legend for a reason. His video Darkness I believe is hidden from his main channel but it can be searched and it's an amazing play on words vs the video
He's a genius, uncontested, in lyrics, beats, performance 🎶 🎵
Ooooh I'm so excited to see you do Eminem! Would love to see 'Love the way you lie', 'Mockingbird', 'The way I am', 'Lose yourself', 'When I'm gone', 'My name is', 'Without me', 'Cleaning out my closet', 'We made you', 'Beautiful' and 'River' 😍
he literally said in the video that he’s already heard LTWYL
@@AdrianEN oh wow, one of the eleven suggestions had already been listened to. How will I live with this embarrassment?!
@@ramadiii It means you either didn't listen when he was speaking, you skipped straight to the reaction part, or you commented before watching the video and didn't bother to edit your comment. Either way, it reeks of laziness.
This song helped me get and stay sober years ago 🙏 ❤️
His two songs "Castle" and "Arose" are two must-react songs, but it's important to do them both consecutively (maybe in a single video?) since they go together.
I grew up listening to Eminem - he was very controversial growing up but I always liked the way he said things like it is. He actually reached out to Elton John (who is also sober) who supported Eminem with his recovery.
His songs are so inspirational.. Eminem's a living legend ✨✨✨
His album relapse was before this, he then came out with recovery.. 3 years later. No one like him ever. Goat
Em is crazy.. his pen is unmatched 🙌🏽
From a 23 year Stan who started at 19 and is now 41 welcome to the fabulous world of Marshall Mathers!!!
Eminem is great.
Wow you actually understand his lyrics more than a lot of good Eminem reactions here it’s very impressive Awesome reaction! It’s so upsetting that Em thinks the relapse album was bad cause in my opinion this album was fire he was so creative and unique with the lyrics and dr dre made perfect job with the beats I’m sure you will love it
STAN is a must
I commend you for saying this is your favorite track actually cause one this is Em’s most important song in modern day as of 2010-2021 is Not Afraid this song introduced us to what Em was becoming he evolved and became better than what he was not just as a Hip Hop Artist/Rapper but overall as a human being Em is a better man than he was Em inspires me till this day and when Not Afraid came out I felt a sense of maturity from Em frfr Sobriety was the best thing to happen to Em’s life Em could’ve went out sad but he rose from those ashes and is back to being the man he was always chasing and is continuing to do what he loves and that’s having a stable life while continue doing his passion which is Hip Hop which he’s The Goat Of👊🏽🐐🙌🏽✨🎯💯(Also everytime I listen to Not Afraid I feel motivated and joyful yet emotional cause Em put his soul into this track and the choir was a nice touch as well to this track and Em can sing check out songs like She Loves Me,In Too Deep,Higher,Twisted etc. and the message at the beginning was mainly him speaking about his period of drug-addict depression, which has inspired his rebirth/sobriety and now Em is 12 or 13 years of being sober)
I can't say enough cool things about him. He turned to Elton John for help, which he gladly did and still keeps in touch on a regular basis. He was tryna pay it forward with this song (my favorite of his btw). I've learned so much from him as a writer/lyricist and person. Great reaction, I love when ppl notice all the double entendres. 😎
When I watched this, it said "No views" and 0 comments so... First? Nonetheless, I've never been into rap and Eminem has been one of the few I'll listen to. This was my first listen and damn it was good! I found myself having the same reactions and wanting to hear the same stuff repeated that you did. Excellent reaction, man; I found myself automatically clicking your stuff as soon as I see it!
Love this song such a classic. Epic reaction 🔥
Mockingbird is one of my favorites ... it’s one of his emotional songs
Great reaction !!! This is one of my favourite Eminem tracks - I’m loving that you’re starting to explore his catalogue - he has hundreds of bangers! I’m a massive Em (and old school hip hop) fan!
You NEED to hear Sing For The Moment!!! It’s amazing - and has a great Aerosmith sample!
Darkness is also a really important track - you need the video though!
With Eminem, I’d start with the more straightforward tracks, especially the motivational ones or ones with comedy value.
When Em is in his ‘lyrical miracle’ bag you could literally stop the track every line to catch the double/triple/quadruple entendres, the similes, metaphors, homophones etc. So it all depends how much you want to break it down! I loved it when you did this in your tøp reactions though so i’m excited for what’s to come!
Can’t wait for more Em!!!
What a way to start your eminem journey dude, he has a lot of motivational but this one's my fav
YES IM SO READY FOR THIS JOURNEY!
I love Eminem its all i listened to as little kid. (probably not the best thing for a child lmao) but i loved it and im glad your getting round to his stuff.
Em is such a inspirational guy. His life, his music, everything about him. Truly proud of and for him. And those hes inspired.
Solid reaction, paused at the right places, not too often, genuine appreciation for the song and your audience. Kudos
Yes wonderful reaction. People's reactions are not very authentic in most channels.
There are tons of songs about addiction that have become mainstream hits but one that follows this kind of “follow me if you want out” theme, is “Cut the Cord” by Shinedown. The lead singer Brent Smith is in recovery and most of their songs have super deep meanings, relatable content, encouraging messages, etc. And a kick ass rock beat doesn’t hurt either 😂🤘🏼You really can’t go wrong with any Shinedown song. They’ve been making amazing music for 15+ years now. And as unbelievable as this may seem, they actually hold the record for the most songs to hit #1 on the US rock chart. Ever. Of any rock band in modern history.(including the Beatles and the Stones!) Cut the Cord, Monsters, and Save Me just are a few of my all-time favorites. The lyrics mean so much to me. Especially as someone in recovery. I know I’m not alone in this fight when I listen to those songs 💗
for your first, i really proud of you catching em bars,
i really do
I was born in 91, and grew up with Eminem and watching all these reactions is reminding me of the genius he was and trail blazer we didnt know we needed. The world has become too satire in real life for these types of artists to be "bold".
Hell yeah! Here we go! 🔥
Someone put him onto the Rap Devil - Killshot beef.
This song is amazing.
definitely subscribing to follow your journey bro you're very chill
amazing message and sounds great.
Great reaction. Looking forward to more Eminem from you. 👍🏻😊
It’s funny to me that I actually remember the very first time I heard this song. I’m in recovery and his lyric about the demons doing jumping jacks is something we say to explain to newcomers why they can’t afford to get complacent soon after initially getting sober. Or being sober for even under 2 years or so. Just bc we’re not actively using, it doesn’t mean we’ve won the war. Our addictions(demons) are still very much there, waiting for us to slip up and let them back in. Can’t even count how many times I’ve heard that lol, “Those monsters you’ve been keeping at bay, you think you’ve defeated em huh? Think you got this now right? Well I’m here to tell you that those bastards have been back there doing jumping jacks this whole time. And if you quit fighting or get overconfident that you’ve beat em, they’re gonna come back with a vengeance. Even stronger than they were. And you’ll be right back where you were when you first got here. Except this time it won’t take you 5 years to hit your rock bottom. It’ll only take one. Maybe two, if you’re lucky.” I knew immediately that Em had def spent some time “in the rooms” if he put that in a song 💪🏽🙌🏼🤍
I think there is a place for a reflection or review videos along with reaction videos.
You are so thoughtful in how you listen that I would be curious about your thoughts even if they are not an off the cuff response. Some material deserves more than on listen to really "get" in my opinion.
I think that can be why so many people feel bittersweet about reactions. They expect people to always get the depth of a song or feel the same multiple layers on just on listen that they have with years of listening to a song.
finally you got to do em
People still really try to say anyone isn’t good. Only people who can’t keep up or understand complex lyricism could really think that he’s anything but the goat.
Start from the beginning
Welcome aboard to The Eminem Show! I’m hoping you stuck with it. I’m subscribed and finding out. This song 100% got me through most of my rehab 10 years ago
I’ve been getting back into rap. Started with Kendrick and juice. Working my way into j cole. And Eminem is definitely on the list. Took a break from rap cause I didn’t feel like I was ready for it or doing it justice but more will be coming soon.
That is awesome that this song was able to help you through that! It’s a very well done, inspiring song
More Eminem please. Dope dope reaction. EM got you a new sub. Keep EM coming
I'm 40-freakin'-7years old and not at all knowledgeable about rap, but this is my very favorite Eminem song. Em went through a few years of Hell while addicted to prescription pills, in the mid to late 2000s. He really could have died from his addiction. Instead of trying to help him, people were hating on him, pointing out things like his sudden weight gain at the time instead. He released a so-so album called "Relapse" in 2008 or 2009, followed by "Recovery" in 2010. When I first heard "Not Afraid", it became my motivational anthem, as I was going through emotional issues then, the main one being the unexpected death of my father from cardiac arrest. My favorite lyric in the song, by far, is, " Ima be what I set out to be, without a doubt undoutably, and all those who look down on me, I'm tearing down your balcony". The song is genius because it's both a celebration of his recovery from drug addiction, and an indictment of anyone who was absent during his time of struggle.
I can't wait for this
nice reaction
more eminem plss😊
Just subbed, I totally Love this song
eminem bars have many meanings sometimes,i see you catching subtle stuff and i promise it goes much deeper than that
My fav song.. it got me thru my worst depression
Look at u catching bars!😉 can u pls do Rap God by Eminem?
This is my favorite of his.
Eminem is the King man. Would love for you to listen to all of his stuff.
Pls react to Space Bound, The wayI am, Without me, When I'm gone, Mockingbird, Cleanin out my closet, Rap god, The real slim shady, stan and maybe Bad husband (gotte hear Kim beforehand though)
This is one of my favs.
Please do Toy Soldier
I'd recommend Stan by Eminem if you wanna continue down the eminem path but make sure to watch the explicit version to get the full context of the song, they over-censored the clean version to where it obscures some of the events that happen. It's a true piece of literature.
Eminem is awesome 💜
Great reaction to one of my fav Eminem songs - so inspirational!👏Em is a walking dictionary and thesaurus - best rapper/songwriter bar none! Just discovered your channel - *I'm here for more Marshall!* PLEASE react to 'DARKNESS' - absolute genius - the double/triple entendres, the lyrics, the rhyming schemes, the Simon & Garfunkel sample (Sound of Silence), but with an incredibly important message - IMO I think it's his MASTERPIECE!🐐#GOAT👏
Masterpiece 🔝 Eminem ❤❤
More Eminem!
This is the debut of a cleaned off the drugs no hair dye freshly minted eminem no alter ego drugged up slim shady in sight
Yes! Do more Eminem!!
Do no regret 🔥🔥🔥
Great reaction 😎, can you do till I collapse please
sooo soo sooo here for this yes lets GO!!! edit: if you are going down this road, its gonna take a few listens to get it all, and know that almost every bar has a double or triple meaning!
Yess I'm taking this Eminem journey with you, I love him, me and my sister was obsessed with him when we was younger :)
React to mockingbird please
The Way i Am and Rock Bottom. Real good both of em
this is an amazing song that's helped so many but when it comes to Eminems music try to do the so go that weren't huge on rhe radio because that's were he shines the brightest
FINALLY
This is on his album after he was getting clean from his drug abuse, he overdosed and almost died, he has a ton of amazing songs, looking foward to your journey
What you thought is a double play on words is called a double entendre. Like " for those who are looking down to me im tearing down your balcony" literally people on a balcony look down to you, but also those people who look down on you regarding not acklowedging you. You while notice these a lot on your eminem/rap journey.
You definitely gotta listen to ‘mockingbird’!! One of his best and biggest hits and tells a true story
Next Eminem-Rap god
Hey dude! Loved your Bo burnham stuff! Happy to see you listening to em. Are you gonna go back to slim shady/toxic Eminem?
I'm sure I will be coming across it. Right now I am just going off whatever gets the most amount of votes on the spreadsheet, that is what I'll do next.
Rap god
MOCKINGBIRD IS MY FAV SONG OF HIM AFTER THIS ONE
Welcome to the start of a journey with an absolute Wordsmith. Enjoy
New Subscriber
Eminem's doubles are all over the place like ''you said you was King you lied through your Teeth for that fuck ur Fillings instead of getting Crowned ur getting Capped''
You have a lot lot of things to see of Em if you didn't follow him in the past.......one of the greatest rappers of all time.....Cleaning out my closet , Sing for the moment , The way I am , White America , The Real Slim Shady , Rap God', Godzilla , Darkness , Without me , My name is....his freestyles.....and I can going and going and going....Greetings from Uruguay
Fack or Insane are pretty nice songs by eminem really deep aswell :)
Star with infinite u can see the growth and how far ahead of he his time
remember the name by fort minor is my favorite rap song.
yeah relapse is his 2009 album
i think you will like his "when im gone" song
You lucky so and so. 🤣✌Enjoy Em. I'm jealous
i want to see a MGK and Eminem feud reaction!
You should really start at the start. His first three albums sequentially.
The second has several timeless, brilliant, genius tracks. Rough content, but it is all an unfolding reaction to the public and critical response to his first album (and fkn great).
Eg, Stan is from his second album...I know you’ve done that one
You need to do Stan! Best song ever made!
Well relapse is one of em's albums.
Not a Rap fan. Not really at all. But I love everything I’ve heard from Eminem and I have listened to him for years.
Eminem journey... let's Goooo!! I think you would enjoy Eminem "Beautiful"
I just really wanna see your reaction to Kim
U should react to killshot. Its mind blowing....
I just discovered you last night with Bo Burnham reactions and I've been binge watching haha, please check out "sing about me, I'm dying of thirst" by Kendrick Lamar, it's a great song
Bruhh love your reaction pliz react whole Kamikaze & music to be murdered by album all songs 🔥🔥🔥
Glad to see you branching out, as I like your reactions but I'm not much into pop music, especially Boy-bandy stuff like 1D. Great reaction!
I think he said that he got sober in the back of his mind for his daughter.
Please you have to react to mockingbird & when I’m gone
Im not fan od this type of music either but em just doing magic with words
