I have one question
Kangxi Emperor married with his Maternal First Cousin & second cousin
Princess Hejing children married with their maternal first cousins ....
But why marriage with paternal cousins (Children's of Paternal Uncles) was not allowed in House of Manchu ???
For example Marriage b/w Yonghuang son's & Yongcheng's daughter ???

it was considered taboo (still is to some cultures) to marry within the same tribe/clan/dynasty eve though they are distantly related, so an Aisin-Gioro prince can't marry an Aisin-Gioro princess. Back in 15th century Europe Ferdinand of Aragon marriage to Isabella de Castille caused a great stir because they belonged to the same dynasty; House of Trastamara, more than the fact that they are second cousins.
