  • I decided it was time to do a video of me actually making something for the backyard course. I am happy with how this came out, especially because I didn't have to commentate it at all. As for the bridge, It turned out really good. I have yet to drive it but I think it will be a challenge!

    I’m new to RC crawlers and purchased a TRX4. I’m starting to build something in my yard, but have a small yard. I need a neighbor like you. You’re bad ass talented.

      Thanks! My suggestion to you would be to build vertically which allows you to maximize your space.

    awesome looking bridge. going to use that method for my next one. i did learn that rope or string expands when wet. my 3 foot bridge became a 4 foot bridge after a good rain. keep up the good work. just subbed after finding your video and seeing that you are right up the road.

      I think I used 1/4 x 5/8. Length is questionable but I am pretty sure they were 1/4". Oh awesome, welcome! There are plenty of builds here for you to enjoy!

    What type of wiring did you use to hang the rope bridge? I really like it thou.

    • @Hwy49RC
      @Hwy49RC  Před 3 lety +1

      I used aluminum electric fence wire. The nice thing about it is that it doesn't stretch but I prefer rope/paracord because the staples hold the boards in place better. The rope does stretch over time so you have to go back and tighten it up after the rainy season.

    Thanks for the video but, I did not follow how you attached rope to wooden planks. I am a beginner when it comes to using tools, can you please explain?

    • @Hwy49RC
      @Hwy49RC  Před 3 lety

      Sure, I used an air powered stapler to attach the rope.

    Ok so you first build it with wire then rebuild it with rope ? This must be very critical

    • @Hwy49RC
      @Hwy49RC  Před 5 lety +2

      No, haha! I had planned to use rope all along but used wire as a mock-up to make sure I got the curvature right.
