Sorry if i’m trauma dumping but my best friend passed away earlier this year and it has been really impactful for me. He showed me Final Fantasy XV and we had a fun time drinking while exploring the game. I recently played the game for myself and the games theme of brotherhood hit me really hard in the heart, I miss him every single day and it feel’s unfair that this world goes on without the people we love. I wish he could have seen the Gta 6 trailer, I wish he could have married his girlfriend, I wish so many things that I will never see materialize but we’re still here to do those things people we lost could not. Sorry for your lost and thank the lord for media like this that can help us connect, video games like FFXV are more than games… they are a piece of art as much of a loser nerd thing that is to say.

This game introduced me to Final Fantasy. I remember when I first got it. I had about $266 bucks because of my birthday and I was in a mall, so I decided to hit the local Game Stop to browse some games. There wasn’t any games that caught my interest until I saw this game with the day one edition. I thought since so many people talked so much praise about the Final Fantasy series I said fuck it and bought the game. Let me tell you what happened next. I spent over 170 hours on the game completing everything and never getting bored once. The bonds I built with boys, the road trip, and the ending all acumoliatmed to this game becoming my favorite game of all time.

@@amberxv4777 I have to disagree with you. Instead of reading trolls commends and repeating them read what the director of FF XV has to say about the story. He says that they told the story from Noctis's perspective. There were few parts in the game which they had to show what's going on behind the scene so the story makes sense but for the most part, The story is what Noctis is experiencing during his journey.
DLCs are all fans requested. They didn't release DLCs to complete the game. The game has already been completed without DLCs. Because Hajime Tabata respected fans so much and released these DLCs doesn't mean the main game is incomplete. I have 100% respect for Hajime Tabata's work and his decisions.

I hope Florence knows how much of a blessing this cover was for me. My wife and I did this as our first dance for our wedding. We learned a choreographed song together and blew family and friends away. The original song was my grandfathers favorite song and he sadly passed before the weeding. Man, I played FFXV just by random choice scrolling through PSnow and it turned out to be one of my favorite games, ever. The game does a great job at making you love the main characters. I thought their friendship was kinda corny at first, but then I teared up when this song played again in the end credits. Bravo

i randomly got the game back in 2017 when my dad picked it up from the store. little did i know that day when my hands touched that controller to play, it was gonna be my favorite game to ever play. they all deserved such a happier ending. i wish there was a way to play out iggy's alternate ending in episode ignis instead of bits and pieces of those cut scenes. wither way, the alternate ending will always be the true ending in my eyes. the devs did phenomenal on this game. idk so many people hate it.
The problem is that there weren’t any other FF games that take place over decades where there are real changes to the main characters. Most people got hung up on Noctis being a feminine looking shit but that isn’t how he ends his story

If you are starting FFXV, I only ask this: do not rush the game. Do yourself a favor and enjoy the journey as much as you can. I took about three months and it hit really hard! I love this game and, before it's release, I was completely jaded about it. I was like "four guys in a car!? What crap is this?!". It is a true Final Fantasy experience, even though the story is not perfect! It's one of my favorite games of all time and my 4th favorite FF title (only behind FFXIV, VI and IX).
Took me over at least a hundred hours each playthroughs. Totally worth it and this song kills me all the time because of it. What can I say, these guys are the best.
Taking your time and really just enjoying it for what it really is, 4 best friends on an epic road trip, a Bro-ad trip if you will, just makes it hit harder. Cause you get that connection, feeling like you're the 5th man on the voyage

This is my favorite modern Final Fantasy.
FFXV was my very first FF game and goddamn was it a whole new experience to building relationships with characters. Everything, from the beginning to the end was leading up to the ending and the feels that you will experience. At first I thought the photos were kinda corny, but looking back at them at the end of the game and getting hit with a truck of flashbacks and all the things I did and experienced was a joy. This game will definitely go down as a game I will remember forever.

I got spoilt before I finished the game, and so I knew that once I boarded the boat to Altissia, everything would go to shit.
I put off boarding that boat for so long to keep my boys happy. XD
I must admit when I was playing the game I cringed and scoffed at Prompto's "ability" of taking photos. By the end, it was clear what it was meant for - to capture the journey and genuine memories of virtual comrades which felt very real and tangible by the end.
And that "last photo" that Noctis had to choose? If you genuinely chose a memorable photo, the emotional payoff is well worth the price of admission despite the game's flaws.

Second playthrough i took the picture prompto takes just before you leave for altissia for the first time the group photo w cor iris talcott yknow that one yeah im even tearing up remembering fuck i need to go replay that game now thats the curse of that game any fond memories force you to replay it immediately haha
Picking the final photo was the hardest part of the game, I had captured so many memorable moments, it was hard to pick. I finally went with the one that had everyone in, I thought it fit best.
I chose a photo of Ardyn since he was my favorite out of all the characters :p
I picked the group photo at the boat and... just, oh man, I actually felt pretty emotional at that.
my god.. i just finished the game and i can't explain how much i love her music and this game , this collab is something so important to me.... and the ending crushed me into pieces but it was so beautiful at the same moment a glimpse of happiness fell through me when i heard that gladio, ignis and prompto are out there still alive, i love them so much

When this was playing in the credits of FFXV I started crying even more than I already was, made me remember having to push the regalia back in Chapter 1, so many memories.

Basch152 I wish I could disagree, but your completely right. as of right now it seems like most of the world building and character development will be done in the dlc and patches sadly. I liked the game but I never got the Final Fantasy feeling I did with 7,8, and 9. It's not a bad game but with its framework a much better game could be made.
Basch152 I sadly have to agree as well... I was honestly getting some nostalgia with ff vi, and was expecting a major turning point upon meeting the emperor. There was to a degree, but it completely zip lined to the end, and I felt they missed a major opportunity to really give some purpose to him and their quest to take the crystal, counter to why the chancellor was after it. Luna's brother (hell, Luna as well) could've gotten much larger roles as their plan unfolded all throughout.
I was totally fine with the sandbox, open world, I knew they had all the assets and models for Insomnia, and only getting to go back at the end and only for that small segment of the city was another waste.
I did get incredibly attached to the characters nonetheless. There was more than enough banter between them to feel the bond they had with each other, but again, a lot of details and nuances felt rush and kept it far from perfect.
She is one of the most underrated artists working today.

I'm a shell and of a broken person. When this game releases my very first roommate would watch me play this, halfway through me playing for the story wise, he committed suicide on one of his drunk nights. My dad passed a month later. I was broken.. disjointed with reality, about to break and take my own. But I completed this game, saw my baby brother graduated HS that same year, and had a girlfriend who later beared my child. It was a year of being broken but put together with luck. Thank you final fantasy xv

I feel a certain kind of emotional while listening to this. At the beginning of the game you're like "this is nice, just an adventure with the boys"
Then at the end you're in floods of tears, because you never wanted the adventure to end. You wanted to keep hunting monsters, going from place to place, taking photos with the gang.
You know why Noctis had to die, but it still it just...sucks so much that Prompto, Ignis, and Gladio had to lose their brother. It's gonna take a long time for them to move on and learn to live without him.
I'm perfectly fine with how it ended but...MAN does it get you right in the feels

It means a bit more in the game at the end when Noct basically tells the others that he has to die in order to save the world and he needs them to get him to keep him safe long enough so he can finish his mission, but they can't save him.
I've actually heard the song many times from other singers. But never, in my life, have I ever expected to hear it on a Final Fantasy game.

Greatest game I've ever played. It just jerks at your heart. You grow with these characters throughout the entire game, and once you reach the bittersweet ending and this song plays, it just brings tears to your eyes.

I just finished the game, it was the first Final Fantasy that I ever played and man... The final hit me so hard that I cried and I wasn't expecting that. I was already very emotional about that ending, it was really beautful but then this song the played at the beging starts to play again I cried really hard. this quote is so poignant because it literally sums up the whole series- their lives are wayward and Noctis isn't the perfect king, but that doesn't matter because the core of it all is their friendship and their adventure, and the fact that through all the shit that happens to them, they remain together and stand by one another. That, paired with this song, and the ending of the game, makes for an absolute masterpiece of an adventure

This game, this damn game, I just picked it up because as a kid I saw all these people talked about how much they loved the characters in it. Skip ahead to 2020 and it’s quarantine and I just got some money from my dad to buy a video game on steam. So me finally able to afford it, picked it up. Let me just say, I had become so attached to these boys on their journey. Every day after work I would load up the game and I would drive around and just take my time enjoying how beautiful the scenery was and really trying to get every detail out of it. Not to mention I was alone for most of the day. Not being able to see my Irl friends due to circumstances. It sounds dumb but it really felt like I was hanging out with my friends again with Gladiolus Prompto and Ignis. Then skip ahead to tonight, I had taken a trip to visit my friend in another city and brought my computer. I told my friend about this game with the cute anime boys and we got so into it. We watched the anime and played it together. We just finished it, and I can’t tell you how hard we both cried together. I just have to thank the guys so much for keeping me company through covid. Thank you.

Without going into a lot of detail, all I can say is that Square Enix hit a grand slam with this game. This is the primo video game stuff that you talk about, years after you played it (just like FF7 and 8 and 9)

What I feel that people miss when they criticize FFXV is that it wasn’t a story of saving the world. It’s a story of the friendships and bonds formed with our loved ones. Bonds that last through the test of time and even death. You saving the world is just a little mashed potatoes on the side. The steak is the road trip.
too bad the final battle in the base game kinda threw that all out of the window by having you face it alone.

True. This story was very deep. Only FF game to push me that far. I really enjoyed it. I really look forward to the other character's episodes now. Along with the co-op dlc. just so much left to be told still. Can't wait to learn more about his friends.
Seeing the pictures from the journey as this played had me fighting back tears too.....the camp scene and afterlife scene had me succumbing to them.
